Has anyone perhaps already encountered a device like the one described in the topic? I want to use a motion sensor to switch a digital input on a PLC. It is important that it fits in a flush mounted box.
Here's the deal: after a redundant socket in the hallway, I have 230 VAC and a twisted pair of 24 VDC wires left in the box. To make some interesting use of this, I decided to add functionality such as 'Night Mode' to the program in the PLC. This will switch off power to sockets in unnecessary areas at night and switch off the main lighting. On the other hand, the motion sensor in question, during this mode, could transmit a signal to the PLC and switch on the LED lighting in various areas of the flat with reduced illumination. I was thinking of making the sensor also dual-zone, so that I could then distinguish where a person is moving from and decide which LEDs to switch on, but this is a secondary issue.
