    Hello.
For several weeks I have been fighting the router as in the topic.
Generally, the problem is with the internet hanging up. resetting the device helps for a few hours and keeps going over and over again.
    I'm here:
ZTE LTE wf830 Router Troubleshooting: Internet Hangs, Band Settings, & Antenna Placement Tips

I already have access to the smartadmin. I read in other posts that the bands should be set / forced, but which ones?

Where you have a band lock, force each band one at a time (ie check one band at a time without aggregation).
Make screenshots - bands 1,3,7,20 (8th in Play is not in LTE).

After that, it will be possible to assess the aggregation of which pair of bands can be forced (WFG830 aggregates max 2 bands so it makes no sense to mark 3 as in the screenshot).
Sometimes it works better if you only force a single strand, but first the dumps and then the deliberations.

    PS
If you still want to turn the antenna, there will be more robots - 4 drops for each antenna setting.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
I chose band 1 and 3. It is for the best. Already the 2nd day without resetting the router.

I have the antenna on the balcony. It is 1time 2 lines of the range. You have more experience, so I will ask.
Does it make sense to rebuild it on the roof?
It will be a bit of work with it, so I ask if it's worth it.
He is currently under a terrestrial tv antenna. Could there be any interference or suppression because of this?

There is a chance that you will have a good 1 + 3 (although without drops, it's just a guesswork). It looks like you have a similar situation to me, I also use the WF830 and I had a problem on the automatic setting.
It was due to the weak 2600 signal (No. 7). And it was preferred - the largest capacity and the fastest.
Even though the signal on 2600 was poor, the router chose it (or BTS imposed). Either way, getting rid of the "best" bandwidth from aggregation solved the problem.

As for the balcony, if it is on the same side as the BTS, there is no use for the chimney. As on the other hand, moving to the chimney can help.

As for the vicinity of other antennas, I have no idea, someone with a lot of knowledge in this field is needed. I only have my own practice with WF830.

If it's not a problem, send these screenshots of the band parameters or the parameters of the current aggregation.

    This is not enough information.

    More is here:
    - on the Settings bar,
    - and then on the left side Network \ LTE Settings

Read about the parameters here - https://jackiewiczowie.blogspot.com/2014/10/parametry-sygnau-lte.html

Show this view as I wrote earlier, they will also be the parameters of the second signal, the question is whether it is aggregated at all.

If you want to get the most out of your equipment and location, it takes a bit of work.
In the first post you gave 3 transmitters, so tests with the antenna turned to each of them (in each of them forcing one band).
Maybe it will not be three tests, because e.g. one is on the other side of the house, or one setting ensures that two BTSs are directed at once, etc.

    thanks for showing interest.

Next week. I will try to mount the antenna on the roof.

Is there any ZTE program to align the antenna, force bands and tests as it is in HUAWEI HManager?
It is a revelation in the movies I watched. ZTE wf830 I have to reset the router every time.

The parameters are still weak (compare with the ranges from the link I sent).
You will have net (you probably have :) ) but you can forget about comfortable use.

I do not know such a program. I wasn't looking for it, but I've read a lot about the WF830 in forums and it has never been recommended, so 99% of it isn't.

If you want the best possible parameters for you, unfortunately there are no shortcuts:
    1. Chimney antenna.
    2. Aim at BTS and take 4 screenshots of LTE Settings tab (for each singly forced bandwidth).
    3. Repeat point 2. as many times as you turned the antenna.
    4. Upload screenshots here.

Remember / mark the antenna settings in a given test, in order to return to the selected one later.

Are these BTSs physically visible and unobstructed from the chimney?

    So I will.
There are trees on the way to BTS, not buildings.

And what does speedtest look like in aggregation LTE2100 + 2600, BTS from Galeria Grunwaldzka - enough signal at 2100MHz and weaker at 2600MHz. The antenna on the WF830 has a wide beam angle. The kit requires assembly from Play, if you want to have 30 days for testing. And why this set?

This set worked best from the four borrowed from the Play store. I have a good layout there

A remake of the Huawei 310, Huawei 535, Huawei b618 and even the MikroTik LHG LTE6 kit.

    The Zte 830 worked best.
Maybe one of Huawei with an antenna will be better?
    How do you think?

Before the Pandemia, I was working on the huawei 310 and it was ok, i.e. the internet was nothing to break the netflix youtube on tv worked. Then the problems started. So I tried other devices.

Earlier, I thought that I would connect the device to the socket, connect the mains and it should be. Now I know it is that simple.
In order to get as much lte as possible, you need to put in a lot of effort and, above all, have knowledge of what you are doing.

Then give up these acquaintances because they do not give you anything, on the contrary, because they first pressed electro-waste, i.e. B310 completely unsuitable for Play, another slightly better, but that's not it either. Mikrotik OK, but the LTE modem in it is a failure, as well as the 100Mb / s LAN port. Those from the salon also think that it is enough to turn on and that's all, they have no knowledge of their own LTE network, and even more so the equipment. None of the mentioned routers are suitable for Play in your location, also the WF830, the antenna has too wide radiation angle in the horizontal plane and too little gain, so it does not allow to force a specific BTS and too weak signal parameters at 2600MHz. In your situation, only B818 and the Dual LTE1800-2600MHz antenna with high gain at 2600MHz and narrow radiation angles

And you are replacing WF830 with B818, that you ask about the antenna?
How can you probably worth it. I am waiting for the contract to run, to exchange it for B818.
It is probably better to choose the antenna after connecting the B818 and testing the bands.

There is no because access to this tab is only on the smartadmin account to which you do not have access, you will get this when you get the password for the smartadmin account from ZTE Polska, you must provide them with the device number by contacting them on Mesengerze from https://www.facebook.com/ ztepoland, they are not responding on the website now, harass them about this noise, because cooperation with them after personal changes is not easy.

    I waited 3 days. :-x

I did not speak for a long time, because I was tempted and I bought an antenna for the huawei 535, I have 5 lines of range and the speedtest has better download parameters. I will only add that on ZTE I sometimes had one, sometimes 2, sometimes no range lines, but the internet worked stably without the router freezing on bands 1 and 7.
    I'm still testing.
    We'll see.

    Thank you for your help

I have bands 1 3 7 set - I checked one at a time about 10 meters and if seven is dead.
My situation is shown on the map "
    - black - living
    - red - router login location
    - blue phone login location

Is it possible to block also the transmitter - e.g. the closest one? can you squeeze anything out of it to improve the parameters? The antenna is on the roof and the buildings in each direction are single-family houses

Show tests of individual bands 7,3 and 1 and the LTE settings and speed tests tab, the WF830 has an antenna with a wide angle of radiation in the horizontal plane. For Play in this location, the B818 and the Dual LTE1800-2600MHz external antenna are selected.

Advice for ZTE WF830 users obtained from PLAY regarding BTSs in the area west of Szczecin to the country border:

    - ask / ask for a password to SMARTADMIN, via private message FB, ZTE POLAND, attach a photo of the ID sticker of the indoor unit. The answer is received within 24 hours.
    - after logging in via the SMARTADMIN account, turn off the band 7 (i.e. 2600Mhz).

Average speeds obtained in aggregation of 2100 / 1800Mhz (both in 15Mhz width) are DL35-45Mbit, UL20-40UL.
Tested for 12 days on most BTSs in this area with a variety of point, distance, and obstacle configurations. Testing was aimed at acquiring knowledge, not so much about the maximum possible speeds, because those for known reasons are available in the 7 band, but about the optimal configuration for obtaining connection stability in correlation with a comfortable data transfer speed.

I did the tests for my own purposes, and they were not backed by professional knowledge, but obtained from various internet forums.

Do not write nonsense about switching off the LTE2600, you do not have basic knowledge on this subject, just like you only mislead people about the WF830 and the speeds shown in the B1 + B3 aggregation are tragic, you can see that you cannot use the LTE Play network on this equipment.

Of course I don't have any professional knowledge. This is an advice for laymen like me who live in the area marked with the text and have a notorious problem with the quality of the PLAY network when using the described device. I have had the equipment for eleven months, and for ten months I was devastated by the quality and durability of the connections. I would like to emphasize that the first setting of the external antenna, and the configuration, was done by a technician delegated by the operator. I have about 300m to the nearest BTS, and the only obstacle in LOS is another BTS, and the edge of a large tree (White Poplar). The parameters of the signal (s) are almost textbook, and the effect is meager. Targeting other BTSs (4) adjacent to my house had exactly the same effect. Only the fun of isolating the strands, as described in the previous post, gave a positive and lasting effect. In the margin; it was pure curiosity that pushed me to test different configurations in conjunction with the BTSmi available in the region of the WF830, and the common denominator is the problematic band 7. Btw. The router was tested with firmware V1.0.0B19 and V1.0.0B20 - differences in the operation of both, I have not noticed.

I will add an appropriate remark in the previous post.

Topic summary
