    Hello
My home automation control is managed by an Ubuntu server with HomeAssistant installed. Within the house I have no problem with Zigbee coverage. However, there is a problem with the outside garage. I have a LAN run to the garage from the house so the network and connection to the server is there. The difficulty arises with the Zigbee gateway. The gateways that work with Home Assistant are USB dongles and I would need a LAN gateway that would be visible in Home Assistant. What gateway should I use to talk to HA over LAN?

Through the manufacturer's cloud, virtually every modern gateway - which depends on the devices in the garage.
Directly - as far as I know no such gateway has yet been produced.

Of course you can, for example, use a sonoff ZigBee bridge with Tasmota preloaded. Except that you would have to give an AP in the garage because the gateway works over wifi.

I have an AP in the garage. It's not a problem:) .

So I upload Tasmota to the gateway and the gateway will automatically add itself to the HA or do I have to configure it somehow?

Yes just look for a description of how to upload Tasmot as it is not standard. Once you have this figured out you are on your way to getting zigbee2mqtt
