Rain Bird ESP-RZX vs ESP-RZXE: Differences, WiFi compatibility, 6-section control

I am faced with choosing a controller for a 6 section system. Can someone explain to me what are the differences between esp-rzx and esp-rzxe controllers?
Will the one without the e work with wifi, after adding the appropriate module of course.
