I installed idf master and created a sample project for ESP32S3. As described by the menuconfig option SPI RAM config appears. However, it is empty. I.e. it cannot be accessed. Have I installed something wrong ? Is it possible to enable SPI RAM support in idf4.4 for ESP32S3 ?

I can turn it on (ESP-IDF 5.0): . Generally you have to start by enabling CONFIG_SPIRAM in sdkconfig.defaults and further settings will show up. . . Master is already 5.0. In 4.4 it is the CONFIG_ESP32S3_SPIRAM_SUPPORT option you need to start with.

In IDF4.4 in menuconfig I found the option I needed. It is called Support for external, SPI-connected RAM.
