Hi,
I got interested in this solution (esphome) a few days ago, after wading through the how and what etc tutorials, I managed to configure it.
Having a raspberry pi3B, I installed there Home Assistant and esp home as an add-on. I then connected the ESP32-c3 devkitM-1 and configured there one input one output and a neopixel (built-in diode ). From HA/ESPHMome I do Edit and there I copy and edit the configurations.
At first I thought that it just uploads the file(YAML)and that's it.
Unfortunately it takes me about 20 minutes to compile. Is there any way to speed it up? I suspect it's happening on a raspbery so that's why it's taking so long. Wouldn't it be possible to do this from the PC somehow? - I have VS Code and platformIO al don't know how to do this.
