    Hi,
I have a problem with changing the software on the sonoff. The problem is that the uC does not enter flashing mode. The switch is running on an ESP8285. I connect to the board via UART + VCC and GND, thanks to the goldpins I've soldered to the pads on the PCB (pictures below).

I follow the standard procedure to enter programming mode (I've modified several such switches before and implanted my own software into them):

    1) I press the button on the board and hold it.
    2) I connect the adapter with the sonoff connected to the USB of the computer.
    3) I release the button.
    4) I start FlashDownloadTool / Arduino IDE.

I unfortunately am not able to connect to read the chip information / upload new firmware.

Has any of you encountered a similar problem? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

To enter programming mode GPIO 0 must be "pulled down" to GND during boot. Maybe the button is not connected to GPIO0 in this version, you need to get yourself a multimeter and verify this.

You probably have to start with the fact that it is not a sonoff, but some tuy-like crap.

It was exactly as you wrote. The situation has been brought under control.

In this version of the switch, the button is not connected to GPIO0. You will need to find the pad on the board and pull it down to ground for programming.
