Hello, I bought a staircase controller with 18 outputs to control I used 24V led tape (4 metres of tape per output of about 2 A) I used 13 of the 18 outputs.
1.What kind of led strips how many watts per running meter. 2.What type/model of controller ? 3.How many meters of led strip in total is there to be ? 4.Power supply type/model ?
1 pointless LED strip 10w per meter 24 v 2 staircase lighting controller Ntronic 3 Total 52 meters of led strip in the controller I used 13 inputs out of 18 for each input 4 meters of 40 w strip 4 power supply 1000w impulse 24 v ( I know it's bigger than I need but I needed power for one more project) Maybe I asked the question wrong I don't understand why in this controller there is a constant under LED lighting and the - goes to the driver 13 wires 1 mm2 goes with - and one wire from the driver goes with - to the power supply
+ from the power supply to the split location I would give 4mm2 (max 5m) then to the individual led strips 1mm2 and + to the controller 1mm2 - from the power supply to the controller 4mm2 (max 5m) - from the controller to the led strips 1mm2 Power supply and controller as close to each other as possible (e.g. up to 1m) so that voltage drops are minimal.
The load on the power supply depends of course on the program in the controller and the continuous lighting time of all used channels in the controller. Here you have a calculator to calculate the diameter of the wires for the leds https://enterius.eu/wsparcie/kalkulator-przekroju-przewodow-led/
I did exactly the same thing, except that from the power supply I put 3 wires with 4 mm2 to divide From the controller - it can have Max 1.5 mm2 (larger will not fit) as the manufacturer calculated that there are 18 inputs of 4 A with such a small cross-section.
