KS-17 energy/gas key - triangular/triangular - emergency 3D printing

p.kaczmarek2 3573 33

TL;DR

  • Emergency 3D-printed KS-17 triangular key for security padlocks on electrical boxes.
  • The key was modeled in Blender from the triangle dimensions, boolean-subtracted from a circular blank, then mirrored to create full depth without supports.
  • The finished print fit the lock and used only 2 grams of filament with a 20-minute Cura print time.
  • A bought key costs about PLN6 plus shipping, so the print was a cheap emergency workaround, even if it is not the normal solution.

I was amused by this topic. But I've seen guns printed on 3D printers in movies, wreaking death and destruction ;-) . Interesting.
I was more curious about what program the product was designed with and how long it took, but the answer is in the subject ;-) .
Now I'm also "tired" of such a printer and I'm looking for something up to 1000 PLN so that it doesn't hurt when it goes away.... Unfortunately, sensible products are above my magic amount.... The infamous Enders... But recently, the guy from the channel "And this one about drones again" described some "padaca" under 1000 PLN....

And my comment- I would use pliers to open the ;-) . In the wide range I have something would be found ;-)

So it is to be guessed that pliers were also used, but without success

    Here you go:
    https://www.creality3dofficial.com/products/official-creality-ender-3-3d-printer
Official creality shop, 2018 version of the printer (i.e. the old control board, if you wanted bltouch you would have to buy such an adapter for the display). Correction! However, this has a better board, which means you can install bl-touch at all without any problem! Well, now that's a gem altogether!
I have exactly that with just bltouch, and a raspberry pi and clipper + mainsail. Great, I recommend it.
If the exchange rate of the dollar was also in 2018, it would be great. :)

Edit. so that it is not shipping from the Czech Republic for free that is only the cost of the printer and there is no duty on it.
Edit 2, there is still promo cod "CRD5" 5$ reduction i.e. for 155$ you can buy an Enderk. I don't think you can get it any cheaper. For 350PLN you can go crazy and buy a bltouch (some clone from ali + some single board computer for a clipper and hey banana)

In my adventure with the reluctant locker (pliers failed), an 11mm hexagon socket spanner worked perfectly. I didn't check that the socket would go into the padlock hole.
