Hi, so blakadder dumped a firmware from a tuya matter relay device which is using a bk7231n. I thought they might be using the newer tuya chips for matter support, but apparently not.

The image shows a Matter relay switch by Tuya, used for turning lights on and off, compatible with various smart voice assistants.
Table of compatibility and requirements for Matter.

    Firmware dump:

Which brings me to my question if there's any plan to include matter support for future updates with openbk?

Yes, this is planned, I just need to get some background stuff first, currently I do not even know what would be a good hub to test Matter protocol.

I may use Tasmota code as reference, as we are license-compatible.

Do you need Matter support in OBK on your side"?

Alexa or Google speakers hub would be a decent choice
From my test with matter on tasmota:

    RCBCW Light bulb:
    - You can only enable warm/cold light or rgb light, not both. At least for now

    Alexa:
    - Doesn't support multi relay yet (for more than 1 gang switches), if added to alexa, you can only control the 1st relay. Seems to be alexa's limitation of matter

    Google:
    - Has a specific requirement to add device to matter

    >>20801284 hello, Google Nest Hub v2 is a very good device to test Matter with. It supports Matter over WiFi and over Thread. BTW is there any possibility to support Thread within N7231N
