Does the location of the smartphone affect the performance of the TUYA app?

TUYA operation depends on the location of the smartphone?

Two different TUYA switches. (1 channel and 4 channel)
Connected to wi-fi.
They can be controlled if the smartphone is in the location where they were connected.The phone is not on the wifi network and everything works.
When the phone moves away, or I turn off the location, the devices become off line.
What am I doing wrong.
I am a novice tuya'wicz, also please understand if the problem is trivial.

Generally speaking, communication with TUYA devices works via Wi-Fi (although your phone doesn’t need to have Wi-Fi, as mobile data is sufficient). As a rule, location doesn’t matter – you can control devices from the other side of the world. In your case:
1. If the controls work when your mobile is disconnected from the network (neither Wi-Fi nor mobile data), this means it’s communicating via Bluetooth (which is a bit odd).
2. It’s possible that there are also restrictions on where the device can be controlled from (if it isn’t near the switch, it won’t turn it on). Check the settings.
3. Also check whether the device has internet access. You wouldn’t want it to turn out that it only communicates via Wi-Fi, and the router is blocking its access.

Well, that leaves you with having a go at fiddling with the router’s settings. I’m not familiar with that model, so I can’t help you with that.

For unknown reasons, devices lose network connectivity after a few hours....
