    Welcome.

I'll point out right away that I'm a total layman.
I have a circulating pump which is controlled from the Ewelink app via Basicr4 (manual schedule switch-on), and I would like to make the control from the SNZB-01P button.
I would like the button to switch on the pump when pressed and for it to automatically switch off after 5 minutes.
Is this possible using BasicR4, or do I need to complete something else?

Rather, such automation can be done. Which part of it are you having trouble with exactly?

It would probably be something like trigger, event, timer, event.
Smart device icon with text “Smart Device, e.g., when the door opens” .
Delay option with alarm clock icon in eWeLink app, text: e.g. 5-minute delay

At the moment I only have a Basicr4 and would like to buy a SNZB-01P button for it, only I don't know if it will work together.

SNZB-01P is a button on Zigbee, do you already have a Zigbee hub?

    I don't have a hub I was thinking of buying a ZB Bridge-P.

A zigbee hub will be essential, well, unless Home Assistant - but then he in the role of hub.

Other than that it should rather work, I haven't tested such automation on these particular devices, but as I showed above, all the options are there, trigger by event, wait, etc.

It's just that for me it's still black magic.

Topic summary

The discussion addresses controlling a circulating pump via the Sonoff BasicR4 switch and integrating it with the SNZB-01P Zigbee button to enable manual activation with an automatic shutdown after 5 minutes. The BasicR4 supports manual scheduling through the eWeLink app, but direct control from the SNZB-01P requires a Zigbee hub, such as the ZB Bridge-P, to facilitate communication between the Zigbee button and the BasicR4. Automation can be configured within the eWeLink app using smart scenes that include triggers, timers, and events to achieve the desired timed switch-off functionality. While the integration is feasible, it involves setting up the Zigbee hub and configuring appropriate automation sequences. Alternatives like Home Assistant can also serve as a hub for such automation but require additional setup.
