Welcome,

I want to make a program that handles two way communication with a database, i.e. I want to upload parameters from the sensors to the database as well as retrieve from the database and upload to the Wemos D1 to override the microcontroller via a website. How can this be implemented?

And what kind of database will it be?
In general, examples abound. E.g. for Arduino.
I recommend Influxdb as saving is simple via http API or UDP.
