Hello I am asking for a hint on my idea.
A 40m2 flat (2 rooms, open kitchen, bathroom).
I would like to install such a smart system so that I could control internal blinds x 3pcs, thermostats x 3pcs and lighting via wifi.
Is such a system very complicated / how much is the cost of such a system ?

It depends on whether you can program and connect everything yourself.
Ready-made systems are more expensive. Doing it yourself on e.g. popular modules based on ESP8266 is very cheap. Not counting the hours of your own work, of course.
PS. And what would this "intelligence" consist in? Because this is a commonly stretched word lately.

What I want is for me to be able to control roller blinds, thermostats and lighting with my phone while I am at home or away .

The basic question is do you want to run cables to the thermostats and roller shutters from some central controller, or do you want to have separate mini wifi controllers everywhere ? If the second solution, remember that you need 230VAC at each location at this point, battery power for such systems is a fiction.

I have a flat that is being renovated. I am just going to lay a new electrical installation. The latter may be the option. Are you able to estimate what the cost of such a system would be?

I was doing something like this for a client, generally it would be cheaper if you pulled some cables but since you only want wifi then yes:
one light point (double) hidden in a deep box is about 60 zł
one wifi temp sensor plugged into any socket is about 50 zł
and one thermoelectric switching point is also about 60 zł + head of course, which in the case of a standard M30 thread costs about 50 zł

Are you able to calculate how much this will cost in total? Where do you buy motors for roller shutters?

Topic summary

The discussion addresses the installation of a smart home system in a 40m² flat to control three internal blinds, three thermostats, and WiFi lighting remotely via smartphone. Key considerations include whether to use a centralized wired system or distributed WiFi controllers at each device location, with the latter requiring 230VAC power as battery operation is impractical. DIY solutions using ESP8266 modules can reduce costs but require programming skills. Estimated component costs for a WiFi-based system include approximately 60 zł for a double light point, 50 zł for a WiFi temperature sensor, and 60 zł plus about 50 zł for a thermoelectric switching point with a standard M30 thread actuator head. The user plans to install new electrical wiring during renovation, which may facilitate cable-based solutions. The discussion also touches on sourcing motors for roller shutters but does not specify suppliers.
