Hello. I have a problem with the configuration of domoticz.
I have purchased a light switch with wifi function which works via the company app. However, it does not in domoticz.
It seems to me that the correct information is missing at the option "enable action ". I am uploading some photos. The place I am interested in is marked in yellow. I know the Ip of the switch.
Please help. What should I do to add the switch to domoticz?

It is best to change the soft in it to Tasmota or ESPEasy.

I don't want to be spiteful because it's unnecessary, but the fact that you have to type something in is something I've figured out even without google. I even highlighted it in yellow.

By changing the software I will lose the ability to control the switch via a dedicated app????

Yes. However, what difference does it make whether you control via ewelink or via domoticz?
In addition, when switching to an alternative soft. The switch is yours and yours alone and does not work in a Chinese cloud.

In order for domoticz to function "from the outside" it must be redirected to an external ip. Such an ip is probably only payable. At least that is what I have heard. Without this the whole operation is only possible within the home network. All in all, it is probably such a difference that the Chinese already provide such an option.

Is it possible in the first step to first save the current switch software to disk using the same method as the software swap? I would prefer to be able to possibly revert back to the state of purchase.

Ok. I am waiting for the programmer to change the software. For the time being, I played around with an app like "google home" where I managed to configure the switch by adding a voice selection function (a cool tidbit). Only problem arose when I added a smart switch with temperature measurement function. The google home app does not see the temperature. Only the switch itself. Is there any function, option to make it see it?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around configuring a WiFi smart light switch in Domoticz, where the user encounters issues with the "enable action" option. The user has the IP address of the switch but lacks the necessary address to trigger actions. Suggestions include changing the switch's firmware to Tasmota or ESPEasy, which would allow local control without reliance on the manufacturer's cloud service. Concerns are raised about losing app control after firmware changes. The conversation also touches on the need for external IP redirection for remote access and the potential use of VPNs for secure local operation. Additionally, the user explores integrating the switch with Google Home but faces issues with temperature measurement visibility.
