I bought a house in which there is a "smart" installation, on the walls there are multi-button switches everywhere, which can be controlled, inter alia, lighting, roller shutters, (you can turn on / off / darken / brighten / use the ready-made scenes) there is also one touch panel (something like the one in the picture) img]https://obrazki.elektroda.pl/6372252300_1573328513_thumb.jpg[/img] .
The switchgear has fittings from Theben these include: RME 8, HMG 4, DMG 2, DME 2, RME 4S, BME 6
The whole installation was done 10 years ago, there is basically no documentation apart from the descriptions on which modules in the switchboard and the description of the keys on the control panels throughout the house.

The basic question is how to connect to it with a computer, what software should I use (some free) to configure it, can I read the whole current configuration or do I have to do everything from scratch?

For programming the EIB-KNX, there is ETS version 2 and more recently version 5 with a dongle.
The configuration is not for reading the system. There is a demo version for up to 5 devices.

So, not having the current configuration saved on my computer, I can't modify the current configuration but have to do everything from scratch?

And is there any option in the configuration software to find all connected devices?

    Hi,
the KNX system is indeed programmed with the ETS application, the current version 5. As the colleague wrote above, the demo version is for a few devices (probably three), the lite version for a few hundred zloty for up to 16 devices, the full version for about 5 thousand zloty. This is an application for professionals and individual customers are unlikely to buy it. To programme the system, you must also have a gateway (e.g. for USB or LAN), which also costs about a thousand zlotys.

Furthermore, you should obtain an electronic KNX system blueprint. You will not be able to read out this design from the devices. It would be best to find out who the system contractor was ten years ago and ask him for this design, or even have him make some changes/revisions. If it turns out that you can't get this design, programming the system from scratch is difficult, time-consuming and requires a not-first-of-its-kind KNX specialist, and therefore expensive. Should it be necessary, at Futunext this is what we do, we have quite a few 'rescued' installations after similar adventures, but we do not recommend this route. The best thing to do is to retrieve the ETS design - maybe the house seller has it archived somewhere, maybe the system contractor has it.

    Hello

If you don't have an alarm then there is a great opportunity with an upgrade and integration with Integra. They will do everything along with the installation.
