I have an HP DeskJet Ink Advantage K209a All-in-One. On my PC (Windows 10 x64) the hpiscnapp.exe file from which the scanning window opens was located in C:Program Files (x86)HPDigital Imagingbin
    Thank you for your help.

You can still use FP from 2019 under Win10 / 64, method:

    1. Block windows updates (Windows Update Blocker - sordum org)
    2. Remove the existing Flash software with the flash uninstaller from Adobe.com
    3. Install flashplayer_ax (older version - for internet explorer and system applications) when installing by selecting the option do not update - the last installer window
    4. Turn on windows updates

    Additionally:
You can install FP under Chrome and Firefox - but new browsers churn this add-on by default.
You can play flash games in peace

3A. install K-meleon browser with Gecko engine (mozilla)
    3B. additionally install npapi flashplayer
    go to step 4.
Flashplayer updates are excluded, of course, everything works - but how safe is it everyone has to judge for himself ...
Password to the archive: fix (always after a dash in the name)

I didn't write it, but it is quite important.
Flashplayer_ax installer must be run in Windows7 compatibility mode as administrator (Right Mouse Button - Properties - Compatibility).

Restart the computer, after restarting the HP Center works like new ...
    Tested for Win10 / 64 1803 (pro) and 21h2 (home)

Hello, do you have an idea how to enter the network configuration menu in this printer? It used to be possible to do this through an HP Service Center, but it is known to not work.

I would like to configure it to work on the network, but unfortunately I cannot.

HP Support Center does not work due to the lack of Adobe Flash Player support.

    >>20094125 .

I bought an old scanner to scan photos on film. However, I can't find the HP Photosmart software/HP Service Centre anywhere - anyone have any suggestions where to download this from?
Currently I can only scan documents on the default drivers.

I installed NAPS2, configured it and it has been in use for many months - it works.

Topic summary

The discontinuation of Adobe Flash Player has rendered the HP Solution Center software inoperative, affecting scanning and printer management functions for older HP multifunction devices such as the HP Officejet J4580. The removal of Flash by Windows updates (notably KB4598481) blocks Flash content, causing the HP Solution Center to fail. Users report that HP Smart app supports only newer printers and often fails to detect older devices. Workarounds include directly launching executable scanning files (e.g., hpiscnapp.exe) found in HP software directories, though these often provide limited functionality such as single-page scans without multi-page PDF support. Alternative scanning applications like HP Scan Extended, HP Scan and Capture (from Microsoft Store), and third-party software NAPS2 are recommended for Windows 10 and later, offering scanning capabilities without Flash dependency. Some users suggest using TWAIN drivers with third-party viewers (e.g., IrfanView) for scanning. Network-capable devices can be managed via their Embedded Web Server interface through IP address access. Advanced users have attempted to reinstall older Flash components or block Windows updates to restore functionality, though this poses security risks. Linux (Ubuntu) is also proposed as a stable alternative for driver support. HP has not released updated software to replace the Flash-dependent Solution Center, leaving users reliant on alternative applications or manual workarounds. The issue primarily affects older HP multifunction printers and scanners produced before 2010.
