    Hello
I have a problem because I cannot configure the Zigbee Tuya 3.0 gateway and the Fireangel ST630 smoke detector with the Zigbee module. The gateway detects the Tuya devices, however it does not see this smoke detector. Fireangel is a large company from England, however they do not have their dedicated Zigbee gateways. I know there are Zigbee compatibility issues with devices from different manufacturers, does anyone have a solution? I wouldn't want to give up on this detector, as the detector itself is professional equipment with CNBOP certification.

    Greetings

    - FP1000W2-R should support this sensor, but I don't know if it's zigbee.

    - this is not a multi gateway.... There are exceptions and it also supports some non-Tuya devices, but not many.

I know about this FP1000W2-R gateway, however it is not Zigbee. In general Zigbee is some kind of failure, I thought it was a common system for all manufacturers. Unfortunately everyone is locked into their own standards and the whole Zigbee Alliance is a big sham. The Fireangel sensor and module was returned because it was impossible to match any gateway available from companies in our market. Fireangel itself does not have its own gateway and not even an application under Zigbee ( only wifi safe ).

    - from the description on Amazon's website: "Networking capability: Wi-Safe 2, Z-Wave or Zigbee (via an additional module)." - do you have an additional module?

    - not all devices are compatible - so it's worth checking before buying - many manufacturers have not joined the Zigbee Alliance or not all their devices are compatible.

    .

This is a mistake, this is only for Wi-Safe. Of course I had additional Zigbee modules for these sensors and no gateway in our market works with it. From the manufacturer I got a list of gates that work. Most are not available in the EU or the price.... 250Euro

    .

Those that have joined and these are the ones we're talking about should have an open standard, otherwise it doesn't make sense.

    - the manufacturer of the Fireangel ST630 has joined? I don't see it on the list, so we're talking rather mainly about the one that hasn't joined....
Those that have joined and are introducing new products - compatibility is already there, but old products are not affected. Whether it makes sense - everyone can have their own opinion. In my opinion, the use of manufacturers' gateways only makes sense in some cases and I don't see much of a problem here - just check what you are going to buy. There is still the issue of app-device compatibility - any app would have to support all devices.... Fortunately there are multi gateways.

There is still the question of how to connect, how to configure, how to apply.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the difficulty of configuring a Zigbee Tuya 3.0 gateway with a Fireangel ST630 smoke detector equipped with a Zigbee module. The user reports that while the gateway detects other Tuya devices, it fails to recognize the Fireangel smoke detector. Responses highlight compatibility issues between devices from different manufacturers, with Fireangel lacking a dedicated Zigbee gateway or application. Users express frustration over the fragmented nature of Zigbee standards, noting that many manufacturers do not adhere to a common protocol, leading to challenges in device interoperability. Suggestions include verifying compatibility before purchasing and exploring multi-gateway options, although some users have resorted to alternative sensors due to these limitations.
