    .
    Yes, it should work.

I didn't know there were DOOYA motors in the awnings from Leroy Merlin...

    Good morning,

Has it been possible to pair a YOODA sensor and a DOOYA awning drive?
Does anyone have experience and can confirm if one sensor can be used for several awnings?
In the technical department of the YOODA distributor I received information that the METEO DC116 sensor (1611127) is able to store more than one remote control signal :) In my case I would like to connect 4 awnings under one wind-sun sensor.

    Regards,

    Piotr

I got a reply from EnginesDoRolet.EU that Dooya is the same as Yooda and the wind and sun sensors should be compatible. Is this true?
I have a NORI 2 awning with a Dooya DM45M-40/15 specification motor, so which wind and sun sensor can I choose for this awning?
    Will all Yood sensors fit?

I have ordered a dc116 sensor for my nori2 awning and the chinese have sent me a wsrs002 sensor saying that it is a newer model and should work but it will not pair and simply does not work. I am waiting to hear back from them but it looks like a return.

Does the YOODA DC-116 sensor work with the DOOYA DM45RM-40/15 awning?

Ok I got confirmation that they sent me the wrong model for my remote control. The one above works with WSRE series motors with remote control WSRE1101. This time they are sending me the DC116, I will let you know when it arrives and if it works.

Ok I already have a DC116 but this is nonsense, it only works half the time. It folds down the awning for the wind but also for the sun, it's paranoia, it can't be programmed any other way, I guess I'll have to make another complaint 🤦🏻‍♂️

It seems to me that the sensor may be ok but my testing is failing due to lack of enough sunlight to process it properly. I have been using artificial light and have not been able to generate enough lumens for it to activate and when it does not detect the sun after 15 minutes it sends a signal to retract the awning. It should be ok when it gets a bit warmer in the UK

I can confirm, the DC116 sensor works with the Nori2 awning. The sun sensor can be deactivated, but it is better to install a power switch for the awning, because when the sun sets the sensor will send a signal to retract the awning, e.g. if we want it to stay open e.g. during rain etc.

Hey I was interested in this thread as I am also looking for Ika wind factor for my awning.

I was surprised by the price though, I thought that the mentioned model straight from the Chinese would be cheaper than the one also offered by Leroy Merlin https://www.leroymerlin.pl/produkty/czujnik-w...tarasowej-nori-i-zefir-naterial-82752724.html

It may not have a sun sensor but from the predecessor's comments it seems that a sun sensor is not a good option anyway.

Are there any other cheaper wind sensors preferably compatible with the Nori 2 I HomeAssistant awning ?

Topic summary

The YOODA DC-116 wind and sun sensor is generally compatible with DOOYA DM45RM-40/15 motors used in awnings such as those sold by Leroy Merlin, including the Zefir and Nori 2 models. The sensor can store multiple remote control signals, allowing one sensor to potentially control several awnings simultaneously. However, some users report pairing issues when receiving incorrect sensor models (e.g., WSRS002 instead of DC116), and inconsistent sensor behavior, particularly with sun detection sensitivity and programming limitations. The sun sensor function can be disabled, but it is recommended to install a manual power switch to prevent automatic retraction at sunset or during undesired conditions like rain. Alternative wind sensors without sun detection are considered due to mixed experiences with the sun sensor feature. Compatibility between YOODA and DOOYA brands is affirmed, as DOOYA motors are reportedly the same as YOODA. Practical use may depend on environmental factors such as sufficient sunlight for sensor activation.
