No response from Obi awning to Dooya 1600 remote control when connected to charger

    Hi.
    I have fitted an awning from Obi, the remote control says Dooya 1600 - not sure if this is the name of the awning.

    I have connected the awning to the charger. When I switch on the lights the charge indication starts to blink and the awning does not move, you can hear the motor running for a while but no effect.


    The manual control works without any problem.

    The remote control doesn't work, let's start with that.

    It's supposedly in the manual that you have to cut the current to the motor to pair it again, but either I'm doing it wrong or the remote isn't responding.

    The awning has lights regarding charge and it's charged at 3 out of 4, I'm just charging it at max. The remote lights up between buttons as you press the button, so no power problem either.

    If the manual control works, then the roller shutter is operational. You must pair the remote control accurately as it says in the manual.

    Have you managed to get it working? I have a similar problem. Apparently the 4 lefts light up red but the roller shutter does not respond to attempts to pair with the remote. I don't have the instructions unfortunately. I discovered a button on the battery housing but this also did nothing with various combinations. Zero response. Does anyone have an instry for this awning???

    What about Obi? What did they say about the symptoms of awnings not working? Did you make a complaint? Every self-respecting company has a helpline, technical advisors or certified representatives who are happy to help with problems after purchase.
    A while ago I even saw an advert and the words " You do it with Obi !".
