    Hi all,
Because of the damage to the water boiler programmer I decided to purchase a Gosund EP2 Wifi socket. I have set the operating schedule for the week via the random function in the dedicated app. Unfortunately, despite being set to heat from 5am to 6am, in the morning the water was lukewarm instead of warm. After accessing the appliance logs, it appeared that the appliance switched on at 5.11 a.m. and switched off at 5.44 a.m. I don't understand how I am supposed to set this up and where such a strange heating time came from. Please help with programming the unit.

The "random" function is a random switching on and off of the device within a given time range.
It is usually used for lights as an imitation of the presence of household members when going on holiday.

This explains a lot. Do you then set everything in "circulate". Thanks for the answer.

I don't know which exact application you are using, this socket can work with several, nor what the exact settings look like, each device can have slightly different depending on the software.
There is usually a schedule setting, the "circulate" setting can also have a different effect than you think, in my devices there is such a thing as a time loop which allows you to set continuous on and off at set intervals.

Actually changing the app and mode of use solved the issue. Thanks a lot.
