I have purchased a GOSUND SP111 WIFI socket. I wanted to use it to power a device so that if the power consumption drops below, say, 100W the socket will disconnect that device from the mains.
To do this, I set the following condition in the application under Intelligent -> Automation :
When device status changes - Smart Socket -.> Power -> Less than 100W -.> Run the device -> Smart Socket -.> Switch -> OFF .
Unfortunately when the power consumption drops below 100W the socket does not cut off the power. No matter whether I set the restriction to an intake of more than some watts or less, the socket always remains switched on. Also setting the condition from the current consumption is the same, it still powers the device.
The socket control from the phone works. It measures current consumption, power consumption, mains voltage. It can be switched on and off from the app.
I tried setting this up in three different apps (Smart Living, Tuya and in the manufacturer's app GOSUND), but in none of them was I able to get it to work.
Am I doing something wrong or is this socket rather faulty?
Thank you in advance for your help.
