U3 is a step up inverter generating 3.3V from the lower battery voltage. Firmware on the board original? What current is drawn by the whole thing? There's not much to go wrong there, unless by some miracle you've made a short circuit on the PCB... The WiFi module on board should use deep sleep by default so most of the time it draws practically nothing, only then wakes up, reports the measurement to the cloud and falls asleep again.

Hi,

There's not much to go wrong there, unless by some miracle you've made a short circuit on the PCB...
