Connection of ACS712 to ESP32-DevKitC (ESP-WROOM-32) - 5V power supply and ADC input

generally the acs712 module is supplied with 5V and can also give 5V at the output, therefore a voltage divider is used for the connection to the ESP32 - where a maximum of 3.6V can be given to the GPIO

And now a little bit of pitting: recently I damaged an ESP32-S3 because I applied 5V signals to the gpio. It ran like that for about 15 minutes before I realised it was wired wrong. I changed the circuit, corrected the voltages and the ESP32 still worked OK, so I figured it was baked this time and nothing bad had happened. But a few hours later, when I switched on the microcontroller again, those GPIOs were already damaged and not working properly (some short circuits had been made in them). So that actually 5V damages the GPIOs, but the damage is not immediately visible.
