I want to implement a certain sequential circuit on a PLC. As far as I know we first need to Update the states, delete the previous states and finally set the outputs based on the state. How is this done for Siemens? Something doesn't want to work for me.
I'm trying to do as in the screenshot, but the markers don't want to remember the states.

This way it will definitely not work. I'm not familiar with the Logo program, try doing it on the "L" and "U" coils. That is, for example, there is no I1 and there is no I2 then "L" on the M1 bit. I1 is gone but M1 is there, it's "L" M2 and "U" M1. I don't know how to write it more precisely, if you write something more it will be easier. Anyway, if you write the program this way it has a chance to work.

Instead of M1, M2... you need to use "latching relays" - they will remember the state even though the signal on their input (set) will change "during". When writing the programme, you will have to remember to give the signal (reset) at the right place.
Another method is: after controlling e.g. M1, in the next line add a condition supporting coil M1 (with some NC contact from Mx, which will cancel supporting M1)

I am trying with RS flip-flops. I want to erase SF001 when we go to state two, but then I see a message like in the attached picture.
There is a sequential circuit described a little differently on this page. The markers used are.

I want to implement a similar automaton as in the pdf.

This connection is possible via an "output" e.g. M1

...such is the charm of LOGO (not necessarily logically)

Thanks. Now it's working, I wouldn't have come across it myself. How does the Tia portal relate to the soft comfort logo?

    Welcome,

Siemens' LOGO! is not a PLC, but only a programmable relay....

    Greetings.
