    Hello
Area in front of a warehouse, office deep in the plot, obscured by a building. I need a traffic light that someone has entered, entered through the gate. Width approx 8m, distance from gate to beacon approx 65m.
If I take an ordinary motion detector, such as from under a halogen/led lamp, and connect the 65 m cable to the signal device (lamp, bulb), will this work? What cable to connect it with? what sensor? I've asked a few alarm "professionals", al they don't want to come over because the job is too small, or they come up with laser curtains for 1700zł
Will such a thing Steinel IS 140 motion sensor do the job?
Sketch of what I want to do attached Will the Steinel IS 140 motion detector work with a beacon at 65m?

Will it work on an ordinary lamp or does it have to be something better e.g. Steinel ?

It would be possible to mount a photocell in the doorway, but I don't know how it would behave at such a distance, or add an RP-501 to it.
Helpful post? Buy me a coffee.

    Dear this Steinel

Well expensive but the quality is you can't tell. I have the detector at my place for the second year so far, at my cousin's place it was in the sun for 5 years and nothing happened to it.

I once got a lamp with a sensor just from this company and the plastic itself is somehow so different :D .
