    Welcome,

I am currently in the process of insulating a newly built building and I want to install motion sensors on each wall of the house (4). I have looked at some quotes and there are two types of sensors left in my interest.

    Steinel IS 2180-5 1000 W 180 degree 20 m range, this is a wall mounted detector

Steinel IS 360-3 2000 W 360 degrees 12m range, this is a wall or soffit detector, but probably more suited to soffit.

I want to connect 2 lights to each detector.
    So now I have a question ?

Which detector do you think is better ? Or are there better sensors ?

The second question is which floodlight to use for such a configuration ? I found a Ledvance LED floodlight 20W 3000K 2000lm

But won't it be too weak ? I have quite a large garden area on all sides of the house. The lamps are intended to act as a deterrent and to support monitoring in the event of an entry into the area of the detectors.

Do you have any experience in building such a lighting system? Oh, I have the normal 230V cables drawn within the soffit, so I have power.

If you want on the wall, 180 degrees is better.

I have installed two 30W floodlights on the driveway in front of the garage, which is somewhere around 50 square metres. They illuminate rather poorly, and I also had to add an infrared illuminator to the surveillance camera so that something could be seen on the camera at night. The camera switches to black and white mode when darkness falls. If your garden is large then don't skimp on lighting power or alternatively make it so that you can regulate the brightness of the light and brighten the light when the detector detects movement. I have done this and I hope it deters it because even when someone walks behind the fence at night the lights brighten up.
