Good afternoon. I have a problem with my Gosund SP111 sockets and am slowly running out of ideas. The socket continues to give power immediately after switching off and at random times. You can hear the relay in the power supply click, the LEDs on the DAC for example light up. The same problem occurs on another socket (same model). Before the move everything was fine. What could be the cause?

There is no problem with the installation and there are short power cuts ? Have you tried another socket or is it different ?

It is a flat in a block of flats from the 1970s and I have been renting for a month. The installation was replaced but the question is whether it is done right. But it is in the installation that I would look for the cause. With the power supply everything is fine. I have ordered strips and will check on another socket. Swapped phase and neutral in the socket can give such symptoms? I saw such a suggestion in some topic.

First things first: make sure the L N and PE wires are in the right places. Yes, I confirm: there can be problems when someone has done it "amateurishly". Having the phase on the protective pin.... yes, I have seen such things. I've seen a lot, first thing, a tester, where the phase is. For a 1970's installation, I would expect a 2-wire installation with N connected to PE or PE not connected at all.

In this socket I use, the phase is on the left, but other sockets in the flat have once on the left and once on the right.

Check with your colleague that you don't have the number that you have the phase on protective...

It should be connected properly like this:

It does not matter which side the phase is on.

As with all electronic equipment, perhaps an orchestration of fate and SP111 fault - electrolytes in power supply. Although on two at the same time - unless same batch, same purchase and similar fault :D .

The installation is with a protective conductor. There is no phase on the pin. I do not believe it is the sockets. One was hardly used and worked without any problems in the previous flat. One other point puzzles me. When inspecting this type of socket or the cable version you hear a relay click. When I switch this socket off I can hear this click. But once I leave it switched off then every now and then only the power supply on the computer clicks, the socket when the power supply clicks is rather inaudible.

A more realistic check is to measure the voltage at the output of this socket, or to connect e.g. a night light (not LED only)

I have 6 of these sockets, in fact all with software made for Suple, and they work without any problem. The state is memorised, so even switching off for a moment and on again remembers the state of the relay. If it switches itself for unknown reasons, it is probably a problem with power surges. Have you tried their behaviour when there is no access to wifi ? does something by any chance come in (scene/schedule/setting) and cause the PK state to change ? I don't know what the soft is there it could also be a problem with the wifi coverage and it does a self reset ?
You could also at someone else's place connect these sockets and see their behaviour :) , something will rule out the installation in the house or the sockets.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with Gosund SP111 smart sockets that continue to supply power even when switched off. The user reports that this problem occurs intermittently and affects multiple sockets of the same model. Initial troubleshooting suggests checking the electrical installation, particularly the wiring of phase (L), neutral (N), and protective earth (PE) connections, as improper wiring can lead to such issues. Users recommend verifying the voltage output and testing the sockets in different locations to rule out installation problems. Some speculate that power surges or Wi-Fi connectivity issues might also contribute to the erratic behavior of the sockets.
