I am installing under-counter lighting in the kitchen on LED tape. All the lighting in the house I have on Shelly in various versions. The LED strips I also wanted on Shelly so in the plans I have Shelly RGBW2, which would be controlled (as a bell/monostable switch) via such a switch from GTV, which I will set in Door mode:

Anyone tried it? Does it work well? Are the on/off times good on this GTV?

I want the dimming function from Shelly, this GTV is the only one I've found that is non-contact and can work in Door/monostable mode. The LED strip I bought and the power supply for 24V.

Or do you use other solutions and are they still available on the market?

This GTV will not work as a monostable bell switch to control Shelly.
    1. in Door mode, when there is no obstruction in front of it (door open the light comes on) so the normal state is to apply voltage to the output (ground, because the plus is common as in Shelly RGBW2). Presumably the reverse logic can be enabled in Shelly, but there are further problems.
    2. when you apply your hand it only goes off after about 2-3s, gradually dimming the LEDs. So you would have to hold your hand against the switch for several seconds until it tripped (voltage removed) - an abstraction for the casual user.

I had another idea, to put this GTV into ON/OFF mode and feed it to the Input Shelly. The problem is how to turn it off remotely, (from a timer or another Shelly stage). So I came up with the prosthesis of taking two channels, one of which will be for LEDs (e.g. channel 4-White, switched on by Shelly) and channel 3 will feed the GTV in Continuous mode. When I want to turn off remotely, I'll turn channel 3 (powering GTV) off and on in a moment. Everything was supposed to fung, but the default Shelly cloud application, assumes that the Input Shelly RGBW2 turns all channels on and off simultaneously. So if GTV takes power off Input-Shelly, then Shelly will put out power to RGBW2, because it will turn off all channels. In some Cron you would need to switch on channel-3, e.g. every 3s, if channel-3 is off.... prosthesis terrible.... For now, I don't know whether to have the furniture maker mount this GTV in the cabinets..... Or feed the GTV from another Shelly relay, but that complicates things.

I still have this vision of leaving it in such a prosthesis, and someday using the housing and diodes from this GTV and the wires that the furniture maker will make connect it to some better electronics that I will solder myself on some ESP32 or other 8266.

Maybe someone has a better idea?
