I purchased a couple of smart switches from Amazon because they appeared to be identical to some Kuled switches that I previously flashed with OpenBeken and they worked well. They are listed as OHMAX Smart Switch. The box lists them as being from ShenZhenCUCO Smart Technology and the switch itself just says Smart Switch Model: SW5. Here's a picture of the switch insides:

So does this look familiar to anyone? To be honest I'm not even sure yet how to get the circuit board out of the housing to more easily access the solder pads to tack a few wires for flashing. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bob

The topic includes desoldering of WiFi module and the GPIO roles.

I think if you apply force to wires the board will come out. I had no problems with that.

Yes, that appears to be identical. I will attempt to flash today and report back

    Thanks,

I just flashed this switch with your instructions and it worked perfectly. The only caveat was that I couldn't get bk_writer 1.60 to work - probably my fault. However 1.0.7 worked flawlessly. I also greatly appreciate the new option to set the static IP address, I have a hard time keeping up with all of your improvements.

    Thanks again,

    Bob

Don't forget to turn on the PowerSave.

By 1.0.7, you mean BK7231 GUI Flasher?

Yes it's the GUI Flasher and it worked great.

What and where is the PowerSave option?
