Hello, I need a wifi switch that will be able to short and disconnect 2 wires connected to the switch without sending any voltage to them from each other. Can you recommend something?
Context: i have an old boiler that has a solar heater and an electric heater. It has one potentiometer that turns off/adjusts the additional water heating with the electric heater.
I want it to switch on on demand or at a specific time e.g. only in the evening for an hour reheating the water to the temperature set on the potentiometer. I can't make a wifi socket, because then it would also turn off the fluid pump in the solar heater, and this is supposed to work independently. So I would like to plug such a switch between the electric heater and its potentiometer controlling only the electric heater circuit.

You incorporate the heater into the sonofa.

You can use any wifi socket. Use the socket to switch on any additional relay for 230VAC and pass whatever you want through the relay contacts.

    Something like this wouldn't it?

I would mount the control voltage for the relay itself and just plug in the phase wire going from the potentiometer to the heater.
I don't really understand how I would use a wifi hub here.

Okay, I understand the ... The extra relay, but maybe I could do without it if I used what I linked to.
