Can you be clearer about what you mean?
Mate, first of all you need to know what sensor is involved?
Which controller?
Does the RS485 support the boiler controller or the sensor itself?
What transmission protocol is to be supported?
I have a Pereko boiler with a Mini-Ster PID controller and a Safe IT wifi module. The problem is that this is a bit unreliable and I am looking for alternatives. I don't know exactly what electronics sit in the module, but I can only assume it uses the Modbus protocol. The RS485 is connected directly to the controller.
Well, there is a ready-made solution in the form of an Elektro-Miz T1000 room panel/controller.
The controller has a modbus protocol implemented, but you would have to ask the manufacturer what transmission parameters you have to set and what registers store certain data.
Since it is modbus, all data can be read and controlled by universal HMI panels.
