I tried to measure the output of an inverter/IPS and got the capacitor busted.

    the busted BSD48 module:
Electronic circuit board with a damaged capacitor.

    I have two questions:
    1. should I replace the capacitor and see if this still works? Should I use it if it works after the repair?
    2. How do I connect the smart plug to measure the power after electricity main is cut?

Wiring diagram of WHD Z03, IPS, and BSD48 modules connected to a load.

the WHD Z03 module measures the electricity drawn from the main.
But it stops when the mains power is cut.
The BSD48 module doesn't provide any reading. it actually ran for a while when I had it connected like the above diagram.

But for some reason I pulled out the red cable from the module that connects to the load,
and then it blasted within 30 seconds. I immediately turned off power, and upon disassembly I found the capacitor was busted. Not sure if anything else in the module is burned or not.
Connection diagram of modules WHD Z03, IPS, BSD48 with AC power and load.

Also, I'm curious why it busted when there was no load connected?
    any idea?

    Thanks.

    anyone? anything?
at least suggest how I can measure the IPS output when power is off.

I don't know enough to offer any advice but if it was mine I would do this:

    Code: Text
Log in, to see the code

if it works, happy days, if not buy a whole new one. I don't think I'd trust it enough to leave it on though.
