    Hello.

First of all, hats off to you for being so concerned about the cloud constraints of SmartHome devices from China. I have a few that are constantly phoning China, secretly swapping their MAC addresses and making my life difficult.

Although I've already written my own programmes for some ESPs, I'm still relatively new to Tasmota, MQTT and so on.
And so I'm having my first problems right away and am hoping for your support here.

I dumped a SmartPlug https://www.elektroda.com/rtvforum/topic4091325.html according to your tutorial with the dumper, which took about 2 hours, and then flashed it with the firmware OpenLN882H_1.18.124.bin.
The device provides an AP "OpenLN882H_C25E1088". Connected to this and the address 192.168.4.1 called up, the configuration page opens as expected. I have changed the MAC address to A1:50:C2:5E:10:88.

    It also says
    " 0 drivers active, total 12
Cfg size: 3584, change counter: 8, ota counter: 0, incomplete boots: 1 (might change to 0 if you wait to 30 sec)!
    Chip temperature: 54.1°C
    Reboot reason: 1 - Soft
    MQTT State: not configured"
However, the boot counter does not go to zero.

If I then go to the "WiFi & Web" settings and click on "Scan local networks", it says
"This will take a few seconds
TODO LN882H" .... and no networks are found. If I enter the data manually "There are free viruses here" and the corresponding password, the device switches off the AP and should connect to my router normally, but it does not.

What am I doing wrong? It can't be rocket science, can it?

    Greetings
    Andre
AI: Can you please specify the exact SmartPlug (manufacturer/model)? Some models have their own peculiarities.
    https://www.elektroda.com/rtvforum/topic4091325.html
AI: Would you like to briefly describe how your WLAN is set up? For example, whether you are using 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, which encryption (WPA2, WPA3), whether the SSID contains special characters and approximately how far the plug is from the router?
    2.4 GHz, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11g/n/ax, channel 11, 3 metres away
"There are free viruses here" (too long?)

If you still have the USB to UART converter connected, you can try to approach the debug log on the UART from the device. Maybe there are error messages there.

You could also try with another Wi-Fi with a different name, maybe yours contains some special characters etc.
Helpful post? Buy me a coffee.

Finally had the time to check it out today.

I had two plugs. The solder pads have come loose on one and is therefore unusable, and the second no longer responds at all.
I'll order two or three new ones and keep experimenting. Thank you so far.

    Greetings
    Andre
