    Hello.
I've recently become interested in such solutions, but I'm not quite sure what to think. Since I'm often away from home and wonder if everything is ok or my wife calls me that it's too cold, too warm, someone's walking around - I'm considering using some kind of remote-controlled automation.
    What would I need?
    - shutting off water, gas - z-wave electro-valves
    - control of room temperature - z-wave electro-thermostats
    - Window and door opening detector
    - Smoke and carbon monoxide detector
    - In the long term, a camera.
Do I need a control unit to control these devices? Fobaro HC lite? Or something else simpler and cheaper?
I don't intend to create combinations, dependencies etc. I want to be able to access these things from anywhere (within reason, of course) just to know what their status is and control them if possible. I don't want control of everything in the house from the bed :) from turning on the lights to wiping the bottom, but the simplest control of these few items.
Please any suggestions possibly a correction to my thinking.
