Anyway, since you have Device blocked it means you have uploaded everything as it should be, and there is more on this in earlier posts
    .
Because there is "that" curiosity in me.

So what am I doing wrong:
I have a batch from fescue, read directly from the binaries from a working econet ( fescue).
I take MR tp-link , upload the batch.
I connect to the boiler, connect to the plum server,go to the econet24 website and application and there "device blocked".
    .

I understand that the batch read directly flash in the programmer ? If so, such a batch uploaded with the programmer (copy 1:1) to the other mr3020 must create a clone there is no other possibility . and if 1 works the clone will work.

Is anyone able to answer if it is possible to log into the original econet 300 via SSH on rj45?

Yes, but you don't know the password.

yes, but not immediately. MAC and other identifiers do not match

the mac and identifiers are only in the flash so physically copying the memory in the programmer must also copy these identifiers along with the mac, must it not?

Yes, but you do not know the password.
    .

So this password is given by the developers of the system? (not mine?) The password can be scratched out from the bin.
So you are saying that by connecting only via rj45 (without using the uart console and dismantling the hardware) putty via SSH typing 192.168.1.1 and the rota password (if known) it would be possible to log in to econet? Would it also be possible to access econet via scp with winscp? (if the password is known)

Gentlemen, why dredge up the same thing again. Everything is described in this topic. You have to read from the beginning. It's only 575 posts. The first 200 are probably enough.

I have read all of them twice. in this thread it is written that you have to upload openwrt then update with the converted file, but this is not the same as a clone of a working econet (here the mac etc will not match the original) and nothing is written about ssh and scp access to the original.

Try it and you will know

I wanted to make sure that this possibility is not blocked since I have confirmation that there is rj45 access via SSH, of course I will try.

I have successfully uploaded openwrt-ramips-mt76x8-tplink_tl-mr3020-v3-squashfs-tftp-recovery via tftp.
I am able to connect over ssh but at 192.168.1.1 I am unable to access the openwrt panel.
From what I checked /etc/init.d/uhttpd: not found, so the question for 1000 points is how to upload this eco.bin? Also via tftp or install the interface (this will not introduce any conflicts with the econet panel)?

You need to upload open wrt with the GUI, and the rest of post #89 or #86 in any case in this regard

Unless you can do the upgrade via ssh

So does openwrt-ramips-mt76x8-tplink_tl-mr3020-v3-squashfs-tftp-recovery have a GUI?
Generally when uploading via TFTP the router doesn't stop flashing, it's actually doing the update all the time, so if you confirm it has a GUI then clearly the firmware upgrade isn't getting through.
After 30 mins I do a power reset and the router gets up, but I am unable to punch in by IP, only via SSH.
    The version is 3.2.

Successfully installed gui: apk add luci. Firmware recovery does not have gui in defaults.
I uploaded the bin from post #96 went force update but I am no longer able to get on 192.168.1.1
Should I do something else before, or maybe some other ip?
On the router only power is lit up no communication can be seen

the ip address is the one the router assigned, because econet is not a router but a terminal device

It will definitely not be xxx.xxx.1.1

I connected it to the PC and it assigned such a strange 169.254.100.248, however I try to fire it up in the browser and nothing.
Is OpenWRT still on the router or has firmware from eco removed it? Only the power LED is on Do you also have this?

It worked, many thanks for your help 😉 (I'm still waiting for the RS-485 from Ali) and I'm flying on.
Just wondering, did you do the update to version 3.2.3875 that is visible to do?

I have 3.2.3810, the next update is already done differently and is only available from the econet24 website.

    I have not done this

I'll leave the old version then, for reading messages it should be enough.
How did you integrate these converted econets with home assistant?

Hello, I read the whole topic and I managed to play OpenWRT 18.06 and sysupgrade root_eco.bin. I am able to log in to ECONET, it connects via wifi and ethernet, but I am not able to connect to the EcoVent MIDI control panel (2 different USB-RS485 FTDI adapters). Only on ECONET the connection light to the control panel lights up for a while, but I am not able to get the UID. Any ideas? Have any of you had this problem before?

Do you have a connection to the econet24 servers (last LED on? ) ?
How do you want to use it?
If you want to use it with plum servers (and you don't have the original registered ) then there may be a problem with registration, because your mac-address and serial number for econet (which tplink broadcast for plum separately ) are not in their server database and it may not go through .
(If you want to make a clone of a working registered modem, it must succeed by copying the memory batch )
As for communication with a specific controller via rs485, I think the batches were different in terms of cooperation with a specific controller (but I'm not sure about that), the update you made concerns econet sol under ecomax controller.
Someone here uploaded a file from the heat pump version (econetpc.bin). If you have a programmer, you can try to upload it and see if it will communicate with your controller and remove the uid from the controller.
Just make a backup from the original memory first.
What do you have connected to the controller like a PC or recuperator , because it can also matter.

    >>21464651 Local use only under HA. Target device is recuperator. All 3 LEDs are on except the connection to the controller. I'll try again with other batches - the recuperator manufacturer claims not to brand the econet under itself.

After connecting the RS-485 during startup, all the lights flash for a while, but then only the PWR is lit. I have connected the 2 cables to the centre RJ pins, I have also tried changing the cables, but still no communication.

As such, Econeta only has drivers for the USB rs485 converter based on the ftdi chip.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the integration and functionality of the ecoNet 300 internet module and ecoLINK2 cable with various heating systems, particularly focusing on Plum controllers like ecoMAX 860 and ecoSOL 500. Users share experiences regarding connectivity issues, firmware updates, and the compatibility of different RS485 converters. There are insights into the communication protocols used, troubleshooting steps for connection problems, and methods for reading and sending parameters to the heating systems. The conversation also touches on the challenges of using non-original econet modules and the implications of firmware customization by different manufacturers.
