How does the G11 tariff differ from G11k, and how can I switch to plain G11 at Energa?

G11 is the regular tariff with standard billing, while G11k is an offer/package with extras such as promotions, a fixed-price guarantee, a commercial fee and sometimes other services; several users note that G11k is not really a separate tariff but an add-on offer [#18816462] [#18972057] [#19114138] To get plain G11, users reported having to use Energa’s hidden tariff forms and choose the G11 option without any bonus/additional options; one person said the site path is through the tariff forms page and the change arrived by e-mail within hours [#18972057] [#19048857] When the no-extras G11 option is used, the trade fee can drop to 0, and the kWh price is lower than in G11k (e.g. 0.2902 net vs 0.3602 net in one comparison) [#19050232] [#18972057] Users also reported that after the switch the first bill may still show mixed G11/G11k settlement, but later invoices should reflect plain G11 [#19114138] [#19404169] If G11k was signed as a fixed-term contract, several replies say breaking it may incur a penalty such as PLN 7 per month; if it was signed outside the company premises, withdrawal within 14 days is possible without cost [#19362611]

For me, a nice lady in the chat also had a good day. I have to get a message about the change of tariff to G11 without the trade fee, but it applies only after the end of the contract, for me 01/05/2022

Good morning, I also fell victim to the G11K contract, I rewrote the electricity from my brother to myself and asked for the same tariff, but the woman entered it in her own way, and she did not inform me about additional trade fees. On Monday, I go to the point to file a complaint, but how do they make me a contract for an indefinite period with what penalty is it associated? Nothing is written anywhere in the contract :(

If the contract is for an indefinite period, there is only a notice period (it should be in the contract - usually the next 1 settlement period) with no financial consequences for breaking the contract.

Thank you very much for the answer, I would like them to make a correction and give up additional trading fees and that I would have an official price list, i.e. this ordinary G11 I am already mentally exhausted with it, they make a man into a balloon only had to rewrite from brother to me, and she changed the tariff and nothing not advised of any additional charges.

I was away for over a year - then I managed to get rid of the trade fee.
Now I want to describe my uncle's problem - of course, when changing the tariff from g12w to g11, they added a trade fee to him (looking at the last few bills it was PLN 8.05 every month) on the bill: it was written g11k with taryfie, now he got another bill and in the tariff it already says g 11 a 2-month trade fee of PLN 52 (probably with some pennies, but I don't remember exactly)
I wonder why now it is 11 g and the trade has increased, since no one has changed anything in the tariffs ...
And there is another question: with g11 and even g11 kw in the invoice settlement in the CHARGE TYPE field, I have: 24/7 active energy.
And my uncle having g11k and now even g11 in this field has active daytime energy and underneath active nighttime energy ... - what's going on ??? If he has one price, is it night or day ?????

Anyone have experience with EON? How to switch to pure G11, or as they call it "G11 COMPREHENSIVE TARIFF"?

Topic summary

The user faced challenges in the process, including receiving incorrect offers (G12k instead of G11) and confusion regarding the differences between G11 and G11k tariffs. Participants shared insights on the nature of these tariffs, with G11 being a standard billing option and G11k including additional services and fees. Many users reported difficulties in accessing the G11 tariff, often being pushed towards G11k, which includes a commercial fee. Solutions discussed included submitting formal requests for tariff changes, contacting customer service, and filing complaints with consumer protection agencies. The conversation highlighted the importance of understanding contract terms and the potential penalties for breaking contracts.

FAQ

TL;DR: Switching from G11k to clean G11 can lower your bill by 15-35 PLN a month; "The offer must be simple, legible and easy to compare" [Elektroda, Mobali, 18972589]. Contract-break fees top out at 7 PLN per remaining month [Elektroda, ketonek, 19056239].

Why it matters: Hidden trade fees inflate household electricity costs by up to 22 %.

Quick Facts

• Trade fee in G11k: 8.05–30 PLN net / month [Elektroda, artaa, 18982009; pawel-jwe, 18972057] • Net energy price G11: 0.3006 PLN / kWh; G11k: 0.3602 PLN / kWh [Elektroda, artaa, 18982009] • Early-exit penalty (fixed-term offers): 7 PLN per remaining month [Elektroda, ketonek, 19056239] • Capacity fee 2023: 2.37–12.87 PLN gross / month, tiered by annual use URE Bulletin 11/2022 • Formal change via online form processed in 2 h–3 days [Elektroda, pawel-jwe, 19119894; wicekjas, 19120149]

How do I tell G11 from G11k on my invoice?

Look at the tariff line: plain “G11” shows one 24-hour energy rate; “G11k” adds the word “k” and lists a separate “opłata handlowa” (trade fee) of 8–30 PLN [Elektroda, artaa, 18982009].

Why is G11k more expensive than G11?

G11k bundles extras—price-freeze, fuel card, breakdown insurance—so the kWh rate is about 20 % higher (0.3602 vs. 0.3006 PLN) and a monthly trade fee applies [Elektroda, artaa, 18982009].

Can I move from G11k to G11 without penalties?

Yes, if your contract is open-ended. For fixed-term offers you pay 7 PLN for each month left on the deal [Elektroda, ketonek, 19056239].

What if the office says “G11 no longer exists”?

False. Energa’s base tariff is still published and must be offered on request [Elektroda, wicekjas, 19368267]. Quote the tariff PDF (link: energa.pl/…/taryfa) and, if refused, threaten a complaint to URE—success rate reported as 100 % [Elektroda, Mobali, 18972589].

3-step online switch procedure?

  1. Open energa.pl/dom/formularze-taryfowe/formularze-osd.html.
  2. Pick “Zmiana grupy taryfowej”, fill Steps 1–3, then in Step 4 choose “Taryfa Energa-Obrót (G11)”.
  3. Tick “bez ofert dodatkowych” and submit. Confirmation arrives by e-mail/SMS within hours [Elektroda, pawel-jwe, 18972057].

I already submitted but got rejected—why?

Energa’s bot rejects if you pick the same tariff group (G11) without un-checking add-ons. Reapply selecting “rezygnuję z opcji dodatkowych”; users report approval on second try [Elektroda, klaudiadu, 19305886].

Do I lose actual-meter settlements after changing?

No. Only the billing rates change; access to monthly self-reads in eBOK stays active [Elektroda, wicekjas, 19420020].

Edge-case: what if I signed at home with a doorstep agent?

You can cancel within 14 days without cost under consumer law [Elektroda, opornik7, 19102164]. After that, standard penalties apply unless you prove mis-selling via UOKiK or URE — one forum user got full reversal after complaint [Elektroda, abecede1985, 19103883].

How long does the switch show on bills?

Expect one “mixed” invoice: part G11k, part G11. From the next cycle only G11 lines remain and the trade fee disappears [Elektroda, MajMaria, 19376464].

Does the capacity fee disappear with G11?

No. The capacity fee is statutory and applies in every retail tariff; only the trade fee is avoidable Power Market Act 2017.
