How do I get the effect (sensor) to warn of flooding in the basement?

How can I set up a standalone basement flood warning system with multiple sensors and a very loud alarm, ideally with SMS or email notifications?

A cost-effective standalone solution suggested was a Satel Micra alarm panel with built-in GSM/SMS notification and wireless detector support, plus Satel FD1 flood detectors, a loud Beewell SW (SV-103) siren, a 7Ah backup battery, a 230/18V 20VA transformer, and YTDY cable; the app can replace a keypad or remote, and it provides both loud local alarm and phone notifications [#19824103] If you want to connect wired detectors to the panel wirelessly, the ACX-210 module is used for that: it bridges wired devices to the alarm panel, has 4 inputs and 4 outputs, and needs emergency power for the detector and attached devices [#19825113] For SMS reporting, a SIM card is required, while internet-based ETHM1+ notification was described as less reliable [#19800774] Another path mentioned was building around Integra 64 or higher with ABAX 2 and INT-GSM LTE if you want a more expandable system [#19802647][#19803803]

    Hello,
I'm looking for some sort of standalone solution for warning of flooding in the basement.
There would be at least 3 detectors - one next to the water meter, another in the boiler room and a third in yet another room in the basement.
I am keen for the alarm to be very loud - it needs to be audible from the basement or, better still, for the system to provide some kind of notification (SMS, email). There is a computer network to the basement, so wi-fi will be available.
However, I don't care about any solenoid valves or shutting off the city water supply.
Thank you in advance for suggesting some economical solution.

A cost effective solution that meets all the assumptions:
    1. the Satel Micra control panel has a built-in phone for SMS notifications, and it also already has a built-in wireless detector module.
    2. Satel FD1 (wired flood detector)
    3. Beewell SW (SV-103) siren.
    4. 7Ah battery for the control panel
    5. a 230/18V 20VA transformer for the control panel
    6. some YTDY cable
    7. pins, screws, mounting strips.
    8. Optional Satel MPT-300 remote control for control if you do not want a phone app.
You can control the control panel via an app, so the cost of a keypad or remote control is dropped.
You have both loud siren notification and phone notification on this.

We are just trying to show the author what problems wireless can bring, and a colleague recommends a rather archaic and simple micra :) .

    .
Simplest. You connect wired devices to it, and it connects to the control panel wirelessly. That is, it allows wired detectors to communicate wirelessly. In addition to 4 inputs for four detectors, it also has 4 outputs, e.g. as in the case of my colleague for operation of a competition or a siren. The detector and the devices connected to it should have an emergency power supply, e.g. via a buffer power supply e.g. APS 412. Therefore the gas detector should also be 12V dedicated to cooperation with alarm systems.
I would further look for a cable route for most detectors. Surely it is not possible to run at least one cable from the garage to the basement? Install an expander there and run cables to the detectors from there?

There is strength in simplicity. :-)
The author wants an economical solution.
The Micra doesn't have to sit in the basement. It can be hidden somewhere on the ground floor above the basement.
Wired flood detectors. After all, with the basement you can pull the wires and exit directly with one hole in place of the control panel.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around finding a cost-effective standalone solution for flood detection in a basement, with a focus on using multiple sensors connected to a central alarm system. Users suggest various products, including the SALUS WLS600 flood sensor and the UGE600 gateway, which can support multiple devices. The importance of a loud alarm and notifications via SMS or email is emphasized. Some participants recommend integrating the flood sensors with existing alarm systems, such as the INTEGRA series from Satel, which can handle both wired and wireless detectors. The conversation also touches on the reliability of wireless systems versus wired solutions, with suggestions for using solenoid valves for water control. Overall, the participants share insights on different brands and models, weighing the pros and cons of each option.
