    There is too much risk.

    What risks?
Before such risky attempts, it is sufficient to first read the contents of the memory with the help of some programmer (e.g. CH341A) and get to work.

    .
That's the risk - I don't have a programmer, and it's not worth buying for stock.
I think buying a new tuner is more worthwhile. It's not the BIOS, where the old boards had ones that allowed backup before upgrading.

    Still try emailing: serwis(_at_)wiwa.info.pl
and there describe everything, what kind of hardware you have and if it is possible to give this latest software including.
And at the service centre, what they say about it, or call:
    WIWA SERVICE
    1 Taśmowa St.
    02-677 Warsaw
Service open Monday to Friday from: 8.30-15.30
    Phone: 22 654 76 66, 22 654 77 45

He who asks, does not wander. Best regards

Thanks for the info - didn't think they could give an answer.
I think I can install, only problem is because I can usually do it at the weekend and the tuner is needed then :) .

Try writing there, maybe they will write back, give everything, just exactly the model, those SW, HW, even the serial number of the device and ask what can be given there and what is the latest, correct software for it and just whether it can be given. And after the answer from them try it. They should know that best.

Problem with serial numbers - I only have pictures of the HW and SW versions. I haven't thought about the serials, but I'll try to send some as well.
I once had the same with a SHARP TV - Polish service not responsible, but service for Europe did not recommend combining. The TV is 10 years old and there is no newer software.

But the UU can make a difference unless there is a similar if not identical motherboard in it with the processor then it will cog.
Model the same, but just HW different and it may not go, because technology and chipsets also change with the years going forward and to newer ones, so this newer software version on an older model may not work as I wrote. [...]
    .

If the model is the same (and not something like 265 and 265 NEW) then the soft should be the same too. Otherwise the service department would be swamped with stuck equipment. And the specifications wouldn't match. The risk is of course always there, but we are not talking about 1000 zlotys ;) Here you have in the file name U and in the description that for the UU version:

In case of release there is still the option of forceupgrade. Assess the risks for yourselves ;) .

    Hello,
Question, is there anything newer to:
    WIWA H 265
    SW version: V5.2.1.47 May 12 2022
    HW version: 2.1. RC20.4.1UU

As the picture is cropping and I do not know whether not to buy a new tuner.

    Hello,
And how, will you manage to upload this version V5.2.2.3 to HW version: 2.1. RC20.4.1U_?

This is the version I have (identical binary) - thanks, because I did not manage to upload it.
I couldn't access my e-mail on the compia from my phone, but the *.bin files are blocked.

What version do you currently have uploaded?
Post a photo of the menu with info on the decoder's software version.

As you can see the font has changed

I understand that you have two versions of the Wiwa.
Unfortunately the old wiwa does not fit the software from the new wiwa.
(Physically it can be uploaded, but the new software has a special protection, so the software does not work properly on the old wiwa).

Yes, two versions and both upgraded software.
The old version seems more sensitive than the new one after the update.
Bobie have improved the speed considerably - it runs as fast as the new TV, and before it was much slower, as if the CPU turned on turbe mode after the update :) .
Probably slightly tweaked and optimised the memory batch and from time to time it is much better than it was.

Topic summary

The discussion addresses issues with updating the WIWA H265 DVB-T/T2 H.265 HEVC FULL HD TV tuner via USB and network. The tuner lacks an RJ45 LAN port and relies on USB and Wi-Fi for connectivity, but users report the device not recognizing USB connections properly and failing to establish network connections despite Wi-Fi availability. Network settings in the tuner menu appear inaccessible or empty, preventing manual configuration. Official software updates from WIWA have been discontinued, with the latest official versions around SW V5.2.2.3 (Feb 2025) for newer hardware revisions (HW 2.1.RC20.4.1UU). Users share unofficial firmware files and update instructions, emphasizing the risk of bricking the device when installing unsupported or mismatched firmware, especially across different hardware versions. Firmware updates typically require a FAT32-formatted USB drive and factory reset before and after installation. Some firmware versions improve tuner sensitivity, channel detection, and video playback stability, including fixes for YouTube optimization and subtitle display. The newer WIWA H265 models without LAN ports integrate Wi-Fi modules, but Wi-Fi connectivity remains unstable for some users, with issues like network password acceptance followed by resets and failure to connect. Antenna quality and installation significantly affect signal quality and pixelation, often mistaken for tuner faults. Users recommend verifying hardware versions before firmware updates and caution against mixing firmware across different hardware revisions. Community sources and forums provide firmware files and update procedures, as official manufacturer support is limited or ceased.
