Maybe, someone has gone through the same problem or is more experienced with the Tasmotizer app.

Well, I have a Gosund EP2 smart socket in front of me to which I am trying to upload Tasmotizer by soldering in 3v3, GND, TX, RX and connecting all this via CH340 to the PC. The adapter is visible in Device Manager, in COM and LPT ports as COM3, unfortunately the Tasmotizer app gives me the error 'Failed to connect to ESP8266. Timed out waiting fort packet header.

Any help questions maybe, what could I have done wrong, I will mention that apart from holding a soldering iron in my hand and soldering as such I don't know anything else, I have read up on the theory, managed to open a socket and fell down.

Hey, Thanks for your willingness to help. Regarding that PIN in the picture, I also soldered to it there and bridged it to GND on the CH340 adapter. This causes the LED to stay on at all times.

It wasn't until I connected GPIO0 and GND together using the prototype board that I was able to upload the tasmot software. Previously I had only manually connected GPIO0 to GND. This one change in approach solved my problem.

EDIT: Since I got the question on PW - I had GPIO0 and GND permanently connected throughout the process. I only disconnected after uploading Tasmota.
