Hi. I have upgraded several Tuya WB3L devices based on the BK7231T chip. All was going well, however the last device failed part way through the firmware writing phase. The problem is now the device can't seem to be initialized at all to have another attempt. I cannot get the Beken Writer to see any connectivity. Can you suggest what to do to recover from this? Thx.

It's not a failure of your serial converter instead?

If you are 100% sure, that device has damaged bootloader (so none of the UART flash tools can see it), then you can recover it via SPI:

The strange thing is that it should not be damaged in that way via failed OTA, because, as far as I know, OTA is not rewriting the bootloader, it only changes the application.

What kind of Tuya module do you have? If it's something like WB2S/WB3S, then it can be replaced with ESP.
Helpful post? Buy me a coffee.

    Thanks for the responses.
I have checked the serial usb on another device, this worked. So I can rule that out.
I am using direct soldered connections, not OTA. I'll read the attached article and see if I can find a way to get it to respond.
The chip is a Tuya WB3L
