I wanted to flash MOES Wifi dimmer 2 gang module with Open Beken using the tuya cloudcutter as I don't know how to solder. I have previously flashed a couple of simple 16a Aubess switches without issue using the cloudcutter method.

The problem I am having with this MOES dimmer is that I can't find a way to put it into AP mode required to flash cloudcutter. I emailed MOES support and they told me to press the button for 5 seconds. There is no button on the module itself to press. I connected a momentary switch and pressed the button for 5 seconds but no AP was activated.

Note, I can put it in the regular pairing mode (EZ mode via bluetooth) but that doesn't work with cloudcutter.

Anyone has gone through flashing this module?

Got a similar one, right after it went to EZ mode, keep long pressing to get to AP mode (slow blink)

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean keep pressing on the external wall switch that is connected to the module?

I am still unable to flash cloudcutter on this device.
Here is what I tried and didn't work. I connected the dimmer module to a wall reset switch. After the device went to EZ mode and started to make a beeping sound and the small light signal blinked fast, I pressed the wall reset switch and kept pressing until the beeping sound stopped and the light blinking slowed down (a bit though not very slow, just a bit slower than before). The cloudcutter didn't detect any AP. I also checked with my phone and didn't see any new SSID broadcasting.

If anyone here can do a short video showing how they flashed their device, that would be of great help and would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

Note: I have used cloudcutter successfully on other devices (AUBESS diy switches and power sockets)

I have a different switch from Moes, and had the same struggle for hours.

I'm still in the process of running cloudcutter (I may still not be able to flash it as the MCU firmware of my switches is not listed) but at least I found a way to put it in AP mode.

Step 1) Press 6 times the switch, on the 6th press hold for at least 5 seconds. On my switch, you actually hear bi-bi-bi. This will put the device in fast blinking mode.

Step 2) Repeat step 1 and now the switch should be slow blinking.

Mine is one of those "actual" switches (with buttons and all) but it's the same brand and I really hope this will help you.

By the way, I found this method in the paper instruction manual of my Moes switch. So it may be worth checking yours as well.

    Good luck.
