update: flashed successfully, details are added to this post

    Hi,

Purchased a BlitzWill® BW-CLT1 LED light and after opening it up, it has a Tuya WB3L module inside.
    Brand: Blitzwill
    Model: BW-CLT1
    Chip: BK7213T (WB3L)
for backup and flashing, used 230400 baud as the default 115200 not worked for writing.

    Hey, is this that device?

It doesn't look like WS2812 device, just pure color, so probably not that hard to support. Should work out of the box. Is it using raw PWMs or is there integrated LED controller?

The only thing that worries me is the remote. Is it IR-based? We have IR support, but we don't have Bluetooth.

    Hi,

I had a second look at my order and this device is BW-CLT1. Sorry for the confusion!
Also posted pictures of the remote; it looks IR-based, but personally I never used it. :)
Once flashing is done, I'll put a battery into it and try out how it's working.

    Hi Kaczmarek,

Shall I post more pictures about the LED light or internal pictures about the IR remote? (adding some more to the first post)
I'm planning to perform the firmware backup, then flash the device.
My understanding about the process is the following:
    - connect my CH340 UART to the WB3L (GND, TX1, RX1)
    - add 3.3 V to the PCB using a bench power supply (I have to find the right power supply points)
    - download OpenBK7231T / BK7231GUIFlashTool to perform backup
    - flash latest firmware for BK7231T
    - since there is no published device template, try/error to find the right pins to determine the working setup.

Do you have suggestions or feedback if my approach is the right one?

    Many thanks for your help!

Post everything about the device you have, we never known what may be useful. Always take device backup first.

    >>21745941 I was able to create a firmware backup (using option: "Firmware backup (read) only"), then tried to flash OpenBeken firmware ("Do firmware write (no backup!)"), which is failing. Shortened the wires between my CH340 and the PCB to ~10 cm, increased the external power to 3.4 V; still getting the following error. Any idea what's wrong?

setting higher baud rate solved the problem, write successful.

Nice to see it's solved. So, did you manage to configure the light?

    >>21746794 Yes, I'm adding the information to the first post.

Topic summary

The discussion centers on the BlitzWill BW-CLT2 LED smart ceiling light, which contains a Tuya WB3L module. The main inquiry is about the possibility of flashing this device with OpenBeken firmware. The device appears to use simple RGB lighting without WS2812 LEDs, likely controlled via raw PWM signals or an integrated LED controller. Concerns include the type of remote control, specifically whether it uses IR or Bluetooth, as OpenBeken supports IR but not Bluetooth. The device is expected to work out of the box with OpenBeken if the lighting control is straightforward.
