    Hello,
A few weeks ago, I bought this set of unidentified Tuya smart plugs. I'd like to use Tuya Cloud Cutter to install OpenBeken, but I have no idea about the chipset, and, being a novice, I'm not too keen on opening them up. Here are some photos and the link where I bought them:

“Device Update” screen with green check mark and the message “No updates available”.

    Thank you for your help

Hey, what's the device MAC when paired with WiFi? Would you be able to open one? Usually soldering method is more reliable. Many devices are patched these days.

The MAC address is 00:33:7A:24:EF:3C. If I open one, do I have to do it for all of them or I could use Tuya Cloud Cutter with a new configuration? I'll try to open one this afternoon.

I took apart a plug and I could see that the chip is an LN882H. Here are some photos.

Btw, out of curiosity, what relay model is there? I wonder if it's 3.3V relay. Is there AMS1117-3.3V on the board?

The relay appears to be 5 V. I think I've found an AMS1117 on the side.

It's definitely not flashable with Tuya Cloud Cutter? No update planned?

Cloudcutter does not work for LN882H I think.

Have you managed to get 2 MB backup of your plug?

yes, won't work for LN882H. There is something else in the works though for TuyaOS3 devices built with certain builds of the SDK.

I need to buy a new UART adapter, mine no longer works. I'll keep you posted.

Topic summary

✨ Discussion about identifying the chipset in a set of unidentified Tuya smart plugs before flashing OpenBeken with Tuya Cloud Cutter. The device owner does not want to open the plugs if possible and provides photos and an Amazon product link. A responder asks for the Wi‑Fi MAC address and suggests opening one unit, noting that soldering-based flashing is usually more reliable because many devices are patched. The MAC address is then provided, and the owner asks whether opening one plug is enough for all units or whether a new Tuya Cloud Cutter configuration would be needed.
