This is I think most common casing and it was cheapest plug with power monitoring at the time.

I was trying to use zigbee plugs from allegro until now, kinda ok, but not really same level control as over esp ones, but esp based ones are pretty much thing of the past, maybe some from shelly and athom.

Zigbee ones from allegro are not really that great, as if I try to change the status indicator led not to shine when ON in ZHA cluster, it bricks the plug.

TOP of the plug seems to be plastic welded

then there is the screw in the pcb

    ... broken :)

another failure for me was that one leg broke off

So I still do not know how to disassemble these non destructively - top seems plastic welded, so I wen for it with the knife, then i hit the bottom part on the ground, but that resulted in the leg breaking off after light wiggling and also the plastic thing with the screw broke off.
Maybe somehow with hot air or maybe drill a hole where the screw in the pcb is.

From this https://github.com/openshwprojects/OpenBK7231T_App/wiki/BK7231T I do not understand if i just connecto to TX1 and RX1 or if I need to provide voltage somehow?

This is my first attempt on flashing tuya modules with beken chip.

Hope teardown is correct section to post this.

Obviously you also need to connect 3.3V power and GND. I will update readme to directly state it.

Remember to use USB to UART converter in 3.3V mode (3.3V logic levels).

Please do a full 2MB (enter 2mb in bkWriter) flash read before flashing and send us the flash dump - this is needed for tuya-cloudcutter.

    Btw: isn't it a LSPA9 clone?

It was just the "BAT" part on VBAT was confusing me, after reading https://developer.tuya.com/en/docs/iot/wb2s-module-datasheet?id=K9ghecl7kc479 it is clear _VBAT | P | Power supply pin (3.3 V), which is connected to the VBAT pin on the internal IC_ - should have done that before asking, but maybe it might be worth it to mention that VBAT is what is usually called 3v3 to reduce stupid questions like mine.

Yes, seems to be variant of https://www.elektroda.com/rtvforum/topic3887748.html so maybe just merge this into that thread?

I did not found Tuya Cloudcutter. Until now, I believed that beken stuff can't be jailbroken OTA easily.

You can also use onboard LDO regulator (AMS1117 3.3 etc) and connect 5V to the input of LDO to get 3.3V at the output of LDO. Still, 3.3V logic levels on UART are a must.

It can indeed be the same device as in that thread you linked. To be exact, I had two different versions of LSPA9, one with WB2S + BL0937 (yours?) and one with CB2S + BL0942 (described in the topic).

Tuya cloudcutter sadly requires per-device dumps made by wires at least once in order to make further OTA working.

Ok, have you managed to connect the programmer and read the flash?

Right now I don't remember, but it might be possible that BL0937 will interfere with flashing and you will have to:
    a) cut the trace and reconnect it later
    b) desolder wifi module....
but I am not sure, I don't remember it well.
