I have read some opinions about this invention bought in China and opinions are divided, one fits, some consider it a crap that does not differ in sensitivity from the RTL-SDR for a few $ beyond the working width, and in some cases it is said to be only suitable as an analyzer for testing transmitters, etc. lying next to it - so it can be confirmed what I wrote earlier, that it is not known what it is made of - although the PCB is supposed to be good in each case.
Personally, I would not take it, besides, apart from the airline, I am generally interested in KF, so I bought the KIWI SDR and although I do not have time to play with it (although I am very happy with the initial tests with a several-meter cable instead of an antenna), I do not currently have any decent passive antenna KF (I'm thinking about building a TC2M antenna) but it's not fast because I'm building a new house with a workshop, so maybe in 2-3 years

And the second reason is that the signal is too loud in your VAC.

In the old DSD you can see the% and if it should be 7-8%, you have 15-16%.

Could you tell me what's going on?
At the moment I have three versions of SDRSharp and other software that I am testing SDRSharper, rtlsdrscaner, SDRConsole. Sometimes I can get lost ;)
What parameters on my side should I pay attention to how to configure.
I noticed that at the same frequencies where I test, sometimes I had a very good quality of the received signal, it was converted and listened to on the fly, and not the next day.
Probably my ineptitude and unfamiliarity with the configuration of parameters may cause deterioration of the quality of heard transmissions.

Lower the VAV voice level a few units and record the file again. Post it here and I'll tell you if it's okay.

    Now it looks like this:

Hello, I have a question, has anyone tested the WELLE.IO program for DAB + radio on windows 7? https://www.welle.io/
RTL-SDR - an SDR receiver from a cheap DVB-T tuner on a USB connector
The first version of "20170206_welle-io-setup.exe" is there, it works ok for my friend, and I have a problem with its launch. It installed without problems, during startup, entries like in the photo pop up in the window. I will add that the graphics are integrated with intel and windows 7 64 bit.

    Reinstall the graphics drivers.
You can try the older ones first.
Not so long ago, I had a similar problem on a two card machine and that's how I solved it.

The app looks promising, but it's an alpha version, so there may be problems.
During the installation, I was screaming about errors, I ignored it and installed it anyway.
The app starts, scans channels, but stops during playback.
Does this indicate a weak signal?
    The screenshot is attached.

Unfortunately, installing new drivers did not help and the same problem continues. From what you can see, it won't work on this graphic. Maybe the next versions will work better.

Hello colleagues, a newer version of this program has appeared and it works great for me. I will also add that I uninstalled the graphics drivers and downloaded newer ones. I also updated DirectX and got a few versions of Microsoft Visual c ++ installed. Now the sound is better than the SDR-J and the window looks like this.

Thank you to everyone for your help and tips here in the topic and in the news at PW.

Hello colleagues. I need help, I tried to install SDRSHARP on XP 32 bit and unfortunately it does not work, I only got HDSDR and in the case of other programs I get a message - "Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this aplication. It will work for me on XP, or how can I do it to be good if I do something wrong (all available on window 7 work. Regards and please reply.

That's the whole problem because sdrsharp does not work sdrconsole also, unless someone checked sdrsharp and has one, please send a working package for XP, Regards!

I have a question, will I not damage the tuner by making the antenna short-circuited? And if I stick it in the mesh antenna, will it also not damage anything? I read that they are sensitive, but I don't know if it's up to that? I have a blue version (T2)

Hello colleagues. Thanks for your help, so far I have a shortage of time, i.e. spring and work related to it, but soon I will try to figure out something about which I will definitely inform.
    Best regards!

Welcome back. Unfortunately, on XP, both programs indicated by colleagues do not want to start and the error appears "Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application" "
    Best regards!

The second question is, is this receiver suitable for analog TV reception? Eg vectra signal? I do not mean DVB-C (because I do not have a card to connect ;) )? And, if necessary, on what program can such a set work? Currently, I use mediacenter and tvprog for dvb-t, but there is no sound on the tvn mux on this one.

BOOM and ZONK thank you very much for your help, I installed net framework 3.5 and started sdrsharp and sdrsharper but I can see that the hardware requirements of these programs are greater than HDSHARP because I cut HDSHARP runs smoothly. Regards!

Hello everyone, I wrote about the WELLE.IO program for DAB + radio on windows 7. https://www.welle.io/
RTL-SDR - an SDR receiver from a cheap DVB-T tuner on a USB connector

To all those interested in improving the sensitivity of this program, I recommend testing the rtlsdr.dll file included in the attachment. Just copy it to the program directory and replace it. This is the file from the package for the sdrsharp program extending reception to almost 2 GHz, which was once available on the network. After my tests, I noticed an improvement in the sensitivity of the program by some 3dB.

By the way, I have another question. Does any of your colleagues have a program that analyzes the digital signal in real time, which would also show the constellation of the signal? My point is that the program should show points as in the second picture, not lines as it can be seen in the sdrangel program, second picture.

Unfortunately, the fun with the settings did not give me a single-core 2.2G 1G graphics, that's probably not enough. Best regards !

There is also the issue of setting Windows to use as little memory and CPU as possible. I also had a problem with this on Windows 7 and the HP laptop. You can see my settings in the pictures. There is also the matter of setting the power profile. I have created mine from sustainable or energy saving, I don't remember exactly. As I was doing with maximum performance, the CPU load was so high that the program crashed. The matter of trying on different options.

Maybe colleagues would test and write how this program behaves with them. By the way, I will ask if anyone has installed GNURadio on windows 7 and if they can run GRC. For me, it does not turn on at all. Maybe someone has some ideas what the problem is, I will add that other shortcuts work properly and I can, for example, turn on the scanner.

Hello, I have a problem with CB radio reception, I live in a big city - I have an antenna at 173MHz, but I think that with 300m you should download CB radio anyway. Frequency 000.027.190.000 as indicated by SDRSHARP. Modulation of course AM.
I will mention that he is crawling on this topic.
    Best regards.

Check everything as I tested it at about 100 meters when transmitting from the mobile, everything was almost distorted. Even on the stock air.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the use of RTL-SDR (Software Defined Radio) receivers, specifically utilizing inexpensive DVB-T tuners like the RTL2832U and R820T models. Users share experiences regarding the capabilities of these tuners to receive a wide range of frequencies, including AM, FM, and shortwave bands. Concerns about potential damage to the tuners when connecting antennas directly to the RTL2832 chip are raised, along with suggestions for protective measures such as using diodes. Various software options for SDR, including SDR# and HDSDR, are discussed, along with installation issues and driver compatibility. Users also explore antenna options, modifications for improved reception, and the effectiveness of different setups for receiving signals across various bands.
