Thanks, I downloaded it, I will test it soon, let me know what came out of it

unfortunately the same, i.e. the program does not start
Then maybe you have a problem with the tuner or the system. If you get a message during startup, upload a photo of what it looks like. And the additional question is whether the tuner works for you on other programs such as HDSDR or SDRSharp.
RTL_SDR works on other programs without any problem SDR #, SDRConsole, HDSDR when starting SDRSharper there are no errors except the window that the program has stopped working, I tried to run in Win XP SP3 compatibility mode but the same
maybe it needs to be run from some specific directory? I have no idea what could be wrong

I think I know what's wrong, I don't have the .net 3.5 framework because it is required unfortunately I will have to reinstall the system because I have a problem to install it ...
Is it possible to change the recording location in SDR #? I can't find such an option anywhere. I record a lot, and I have an SSD and I would like to change the recording location on the HDD so as not to kill the SSD with records.
Honestly, I prefer to leave it at this point, after all, SSD is for running applications, and HDD is for storage. It's strange that you can't set a different recording path, under Ubuntu I have gqrx and you can do it there without any problems.
Kubas. In the control panel (Add remove P ...) what are the NET Framework? Click on the blue fonts, it will open Microsoft's website with the NET F ... versions.

Hello, in SDRSharp it is not possible to set the path for recorded files. But there are other programs like HDSDR and SDRSharper, and there is such a possibility in them.
I know HDSDR, I am forced to use it on an old Windows 2000 computer, which I use to listen to VLF via a sound card. By the way, it is probably the only (additionally with the latest version) working program of this type with such an old Windows. But the interface is very chaotic for me compared to SDR #. SDRSharper actually too. Gqrx that I use under Ubuntu is a bit less, but it still happened that I use SDR # running from wine. Well, I guess it's actually left to move the folder to the HDD.
Now that's the second thing. I have the latest Windows 10 (in the sense of this year's build) and I wanted to use the latest SDR #. Unfortunately, after running it with zero response, I had to go back to the old version. Has anyone had that or knows why?
There is a modified recording plugin there. And how to play VAC to an external recording program. Then, to listen to what is recorded, select listening with VAC.
Is there any add-on to SDRSharp that automatically switches between frequencies, e.g. observed frequencies X, Y, channel X is transmitting something and SDR automatically starts receiving it, X stops and Y transmits and SDR automatically starts receiving Y ...
"Arek_v1" There is such a function. You save the frequencies in the manager, then select the frequencies that interest you and click start as you can see in the photo. In the attachment I have uploaded the sdrsharp version with most of the useful plugins. Everything works because I checked. I greet everyone.
Alternatively, you can find something for yourself on these pages.
Kubas. For all SDRs in Source, switch to Other soundcart, have that many SDRs, and all SDRs have RTL-USB enabled. The tuner doesn't know which software to use.
Hello, I have a problem with drivers for usb ports, I have a Dell Latitude E5520 Windows 10 laptop, I put SDR RTL2832U R820T2 USB DVB-T into the USB port, the computer downloaded and installed the drivers, then I went to the driver replacement step according to the instructions on this portal, I think I chose the wrong path the drivers changed and the USB ports stopped working properly, e.g. he does not see the plug for a wireless mouse. I want to go back to the previous settings, unfortunately I did not have the system recovery turned on, I do not know what Dell drivers need to make the USB ports work properly, please help
tdrk14 In the control panel, select Device System and in this window you have USB ports and others. How are the yellow markers? Right open Properties and uninstall (the drivers won't uninstall in the system) or roll back the drivers. This is the case in XP.
Change IT lol ... In Device Manager, look for the device it starts with Bulk-In, Interface or LibUsb and uninstall them. Then Action and Scan for hardware changes.
Here in the attachment there is a surprise worth attention, because this issue has not been discussed in this topic yet. As you already know, the SDR tuner based on RTL2832U is able to work in the full GSM900 band. Thanks to this, it can be used as an analyzer or sniffer working in this band. The latter application is especially interesting. In the archive I attached, there is a dump of packets intercepted by Wireshark from the downlink frequency of a certain BTS I was near. This is the 941.6 MHz frequency, but due to a certain inaccuracy resulting from the design of the tuner, in order for anything to be intercepted, it had to be set to 941.62 MHz. Thus, for example, the LAC and CID of the sniffed base station as well as the IMSI and TMSI numbers of the currently connected users can be determined. Of course, you can also intercept SMSs and voice calls, but this requires knowledge of a 64-bit encryption key. If you want to intercept your own correspondence, you can "get" this key from your phone, eg by using AT commands. In the case of someone else's correspondence, it is much more difficult and not necessarily legal, so I will not write about it here.
What do you need to "play" besides the tuner itself? - Kali Linux distribution (I personally recommend version 2016.1) - programs: Wireshark and gr-gsm - antenna: preferably dedicated to the GSM band, but with the one attached to the tuner, you can easily start having fun if you are nearby up to 300 m from the selected BTS
It is worth adding that the gr-gsm program is a Polish program, it was created by an assistant from the Warsaw University of Technology. For further and more detailed instructions, I refer you to another gentleman's channel (elementary knowledge of English required): Link
[I wrote a correction to this earlier] It turns out that a tuner based on the E4000, such as the author of the above channel from youtube, is more suitable for the applications I have mentioned. The data is captured to Wireshark on the nominal BTS operating frequency, on my 2832U, however, it turns out that the shift is not 0.02 MHz, but at least 0.82 MHz, so packets not with the 941.6 MHz frequency but 940.8 MHz. The TMSI and IMSI numbers that can be extracted from these packages are the numbers of users carrying out some correspondence at the moment (eg SMS, voice calls), and not of each user logged in to BTS.
Has anyone tested some LNA from friends? I want to throw the antenna on the roof before winter and add a preamplifier, and I do not want to force the door open. Michael
Please be advised that on December 31, 2013, the paging system Metro-Bip will end its operation. This means that after the indicated date all paging devices, i.e. pagers and bipers, both subscription and non-subscription, will cease to function. The so-called bip-net and related web applications.
Perhaps there are some systems of local scope. Or another operator that still works.
Maybe my colleague was talking about those pagers that use the 433MHz frequency. Only they work in a different system similar to Wireless weather stations. I saw similar pager systems in the "Medyk" medical center. But I don't know if there is a program to receive it.
Hello, I will stick to the topic, the "Aerial TV DVB-T" application for devices based on RTL2832U was released on Android, I have such a request, maybe someone has a USB tuner "NOT ONLY TV LV5TDLX" and could test it on Android? Because in my case, the program detects the device, looks for channels but finds nothing, while in SDRTouch you can "see" the signal / s.
The discussion revolves around the use of RTL-SDR (Software Defined Radio) receivers, specifically utilizing inexpensive DVB-T tuners like the RTL2832U and R820T models. Users share experiences regarding the capabilities of these tuners to receive a wide range of frequencies, including AM, FM, and shortwave bands. Concerns about potential damage to the tuners when connecting antennas directly to the RTL2832 chip are raised, along with suggestions for protective measures such as using diodes. Various software options for SDR, including SDR# and HDSDR, are discussed, along with installation issues and driver compatibility. Users also explore antenna options, modifications for improved reception, and the effectiveness of different setups for receiving signals across various bands. Summary generated by the language model.
