I use the regular Chinese on the R820T with a blue case. Quartz controlled, not a generator. Offer from this pages. As for ceramic antennas, they can be used after removing the filter. IN this on the link you have a description of how to do it. I haven't tested it, but I've read that it works.

Below Link to the srtonka with a description of how to modify the probe and receive the satki with its antenna and amplifier.

Hello. I would like to refer to post 1409. Well, between the frequencies 1546.000 and 1546.400 it is possible to listen to the telephone conversation via satellite between the plane and the ground crew. Thanks to the "JAERO" program, the digital signal is converted into modulation. To receive the signal I use the "SDR CONSOLE v 3.0.10" program because it transmits the audio signal better and thus "JAERO" decodes the modulation better.

I have added a short audio sample in the attachment. I would like to add that "JAERO" automatically records the received transmission. I encourage you to test and greet.

Hello, I will connect to the topic with the question about driver installation. I try to install as instructed and keep crashing a message saying that the installation has been aborted by the user.

    I have no idea anymore.
I am asking for help in finding the cause.

    Hello.
    1) What are windows?
    2) The DVB drivers from the PCB provided with the dongl have probably been installed.

Windows 10 64bit, I did not have any driver board for the dongle.
I tried to upload the drivers as it is in many instructions.
I tried on a different computer and it went the same way without any problem.
    best regards

I am trying to install an antenna installation in my apartment and I thought to connect the antenna for ADS-B reception, GSM900 band end or 23 cm band to the crossover with the "SAT" input (for satellite converters, 950 - 2100 MHz). I know that it is much better to make such antennas using 50 Ohm cables, but it is about convenience - to broadcast RTV signals and, for example, from ADS-B reception with one cable. I will not use satellite TV.
Will such a thing be perceived better than on the proverbial piece of wire if it is properly made and placed? Are there any tested antennas for the GSM900, ADS-B and 23 cm bands made using 75 Ohm cables?

    Welcome back.
Problem solved, it turned out that my computer does not like the new version of the zadig program, after downloading version 2.1.0 everything was book-like.
    Thanks for trying to help.

Hello colleagues. Once upon a time, there was such an app for the tuner called SDRSharper. A newer version of the pod this link. Personally comparing the four programs, i.e. SDRsharper, SDRSharp, HDSDR and SDRConsole, I would recommend SDRConsole to receive ordinary analogue and digital transmission on VAC. In my opinion, as a free new version 3.0.13 is the best solution for more advanced in the subject.

Hello, does anyone have a list of FM broadcasts from our western (and not only) neighbors? Today, there are no special propagation conditions, and I manage to receive a periodically fading radio signal from the transmitter in Lubań, i.e. around 360 KM km from me. There was also a German speech for about a second, probably Radio Berlin. In about a week in fine weather a track is due, so I am gathering data and experience to be prepared for DXing. My antenna is (surprisingly) a 9-element collinear for the ADS-B band, made of a white RG-58 concentrator, the shortening factor is about 0.95, about 8 meters above the ground, and the horizon is not interesting, maybe not as bad as it is in city, but it is not clean either.

In the case of Poland, I see that there is a lack of local broadcasting stations from small towns, but I see other countries being better developed.

    Hear. 100 point question

It is possible on Android 4.x without an integrated USB Host to use an adapter that will allow you to connect a USB SDR, is it impossible?

Have you tried to use an OTG cable and, for example, a mouse / keyboard / pen? What is this Chinese device or something branded? You can also try to power the accessory from the outside and connect only mass and data +/-. See how the WiFi card is organized there can be released via USB.

As the flash of the ciupagi says :D In fact, you should be able to replace the webcam. I will try and let you know. Regular OTG cable doesn't work because android doesn't have USB host. This is the Overmax OV-Quattor 10 + E. These tablets can be purchased with a wholesaler of functional pears cap, only the lottery risk is what you will hit. Perfect SDR equipment, but unfortunately no OTG.

A hat of pears, or how many? Because I just need a 10 "for a similar purpose, and spending a few hundred bucks does not smile very much.

Right down a hundred if you think right.

    PS

I forgot to add that the inability to upload the SDR driver can be bypassed by uploading its archived version, but the USB does not work.

What could be the reason if I am listening to the band on the DVBt stick and it interrupts all interlocutors? I have an additional antenna soldered to the standard input, in the sense that the wire and the screen are soldered to the socket on the board. For several days he has been interrupting when someone says something like noises ... I will also add that I walk 14 hours a day practically online with the Sharp sdr. Could this be the reason something burned out? I've had it for about 5 years ... Greetings. I am writing to you because someone may have had a problem and I cannot cope with it anymore and I do not know whether to order a new one or what.

Check out the OE1KDA Krzysztof Dąbrowski website
In device manager the tuner should be USB in Bulk-in, interface 0
Install Zadig different versions depending on WIN XP / WIN7

Topic summary

The discussion centers on using inexpensive DVB-T USB tuners, particularly those based on the RTL2832U chipset combined with various tuner modules like the R820T and E4000, as software-defined radio (SDR) receivers. These devices, originally intended for digital TV reception, can be repurposed for wideband SDR reception from approximately 25 MHz up to 1.7 GHz, covering amateur radio bands, FM broadcast, airband, ADS-B, and more. Modifications such as direct antenna connection to the RTL2832U chip pins enable reception of lower frequency bands (below 30 MHz), including shortwave, though precautions against electrostatic discharge and signal surges are necessary. Upconverter circuits based on chips like LA1186, LA1185, and TA7358AP are commonly used to extend reception down to HF and VLF bands by frequency shifting signals into the tuner's range. Various software solutions including SDR# (SDR Sharp), HDSDR, and dump1090 are recommended for Windows and Linux platforms, with driver installation often requiring tools like Zadig to replace default DVB-T drivers with RTL-SDR compatible ones. Users report challenges with driver installation, device recognition, and antenna selection, especially for frequencies outside the FM broadcast band. Amplifiers such as the FP6L and antennas like Discone or long wire are suggested to improve reception quality. Mobile and embedded platforms like Raspberry Pi and Android devices with USB OTG support are explored for portable SDR setups. The community shares detailed schematics, installation guides, and troubleshooting tips, emphasizing the cost-effectiveness and versatility of RTL-SDR dongles for radio experimentation and monitoring.
