It's cool, it's not very logical that clothes for which the safe temperature is 40 degrees should not shrink in a dryer that dries at 85 degrees. Okay, maybe you have exceptionally expensive clothes and exceptionally good fabrics.
No, I use many market clothes, although I also have "specialized" ones, such as diving undersuits or underwear for the mountains.
You write here that you know better or that your experiences translate to all mankind. It is not so :-) My tumble dryer, like others, has a low temperature drying program.

Okay. Your exceptionally nothing shrinks at 70-85 degrees. I want one too, please give me the model I will buy next when mine is broken.

In that case, I consider a coincidence. My dryer does not shrink either, and I have dried in a lot of very delicate things and after that I have full confidence in it.

And I do not think this is a coincidence because it is not the only piece of clothing that has shrunk. I also have a few shirts that have shrunk but unfortunately I don't have the same size in the original size to show it in the picture. I also have a sweater shrunk in the dryer :)

And do you know what the option of opening the door in four directions looks like in electroluxes? Right, left, that's clear. And the rest? up and down? Has anyone seen how it looks and works? This is including without the pump for PLN 1500

Exik, I believe that something is wrong with the dryer. It's impossible, maybe it has a broken thermostat or something else? I read a lot of reviews about dryers and most of them are happy with them and no one writes about shrinkage ... are you sure that your swazerk has a pump at all?

Oh Jesus, the pointless chatter is already starting. Yes, I know what kind of dryer I have, I gave the model a few posts above and go to the network to check for yourself whether it is with or without a pump. Well, no balls.

I don't understand at all why you think there is something wrong with the dryer? The dryer is new, neat and dries properly. This is not just my case, just google "dryer shrink clothes" and there will be dozens of other forums, topics and discussions about it and people bluntly admit that dryers shrink certain types of clothes, and that's just the way it is. A lot of clothes are currently of poor quality, made of artificial materials, with the addition of elastane, sensitive to high temperatures. There are thousands of such cases, and no wonder.

It's hard to find an honest and factual opinion on this topic only, since 3 people write over and over again (including you, because you have 111 answers here, or 100% of your posts)

I wrote honestly, factually and specifically, I proved it by uploading photos. And this opinion is not for you or freebsd, because you already have some dryers, but for people who want to buy one. In order for them to be aware that NOT EVERYTHING can be safely tumble dried and you can read EVERYWHERE, but not in THIS topic.

Everything is fine with the equipment. The dryer has already dried a hundred kilos of laundry and dries correctly, which does not change the fact that certain types of clothes shrink - a few items, but shrink.

And if you want, I will send that photo to Bosch, asking if the dryer is damaged, because they say it is on the forum. We'll see what they write back, I can put that answer here. Because I really don't think that the service will come and start repairing the dryer because some clothes are shrinking.

I have to bother ??? first of all, I didn't notice, secondly, I wanted to help you solve this problem. It is so strange for me that the dryer has shrunk so much for you because I have a dryer myself in a house where 6 people live, including three children. The washing machine is operated practically every day and everything I wash ends up in the dryer. Nothing but nothing has shrunk to me, and if it has shrunk to such an extent that neither I nor anyone else noticed it. And I have many kinds of things, including really fragile ones that survive in the dryer without any problems. In addition, I recommended the dryer to 3 people from the family, each of them has a full load and also everything that ends up in the dryer in the washing machine. Everyone is delighted with the equipment, we even dry in it in the summer and I have never heard from anyone about shrinkage and I also see that they wear normal things. So I still think that something about your dryer is wrong. Maybe Bosch is just like that, because I had Bosch before, but without the pump and it was already shrinking for me, so I took the risk and, despite the fact that it was operational, I replaced it with a new one and it was one of the best decisions.

I know what is answering you. That please dry your clothes according to what the label says. So pale ass, most of the labels prohibit drying, if this was suggested, the dryer would be an unnecessary trash at home. I opened the dryer a few times while drying and the things are literally slightly warm so I don't know what would shrink them.

    Added after 6 [minutes]:

Open it halfway through drying and see how warm the laundry is. It should only be lukewarm. Because when there is, for example, 50 degrees in a drum, the same laundry will heat up to 40-45 degrees

I wrote an e-mail, sent it to the website address and probably 2 replies will also come to the product information. I gave them a link and a link to this discussion. The heat pump dryer is dried at 54 degrees and the clothes inside the dryer are treated at this temperature.

Try to understand that your experience is only yours. My dryer works, nothing stinks and nothing shrinks, and it cost pennies. You can find the model and her photos on my blog. Unless you know better?

In addition, I do not know how you know at what temperature drying takes place in my dryer.
You have read and write as if you would know everything - it results from your statements.

Well, bravo, you either have something wrong with the equipment (Germany has recently been famous for falsifying data, e.g. on ecology, or poor quality products based on the ideas of the old brand), or you make a mistake. I am still wondering how cotton can shrink in 50 degrees - fear to iron ...

Besides, someone here once wrote that he was measuring the temperature while drying. There were over 70 in the drum itself, but the laundry itself was slightly over 60. So, as in such a dryer with a pump it is 50 cos, the same laundry will heat up to about 45 degrees. And it is, I checked myself ;)

I know the principle of operation of this equipment and I know at what temperatures drying takes place in the case of heat pump dryers and without a pump, and you will not think of anything here. Classic condensing 82 degrees, condensing with heat pump 54 degrees. Both can have "gentle" programs for specific fabrics. Nevertheless, I don't think a cotton T-shirt is soft.

Bosch asked for a phone number, called me and said they'd send a service technician to check it out. I am to wait for the next call regarding the date.

Okay, below to think about for people who use the brain.

Here is an "engineering text, not a" box "on the temperature in a clothes dryer: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=20985 heat pump dryers, it can be concluded that the drying temperature is too low This is directly due to the technical limitations Marketing has presented the disadvantage as an advantage and now people with low technical knowledge repeat this fairy tale after salesmen. And they defend it ...

After all, a classic dryer, without heat pump, it can get low temperature, a lower power heating spiral, division of the heater into more segments, one half of the sine wave power supply, "group" control of the heater power supply, etc. Similarly, gas burner dryers can have a lower power burner. I recommend https://www.walmart.com/ to find out that such "terrible" dryers, such as gas dryers, are still available.

Again, there is no technical problem for a dryer without a heat pump to achieve a low drying temperature. NOTHING. So why do manufacturers use a temperature of around 60 degrees for drying? Maybe it results from research and says something about the effectiveness and time of drying?

Here is one of my entries about my dryer: https://jackiewiczowie.blogspot.com/2014/04/suszarka-kondensacyjna-do-ubran-jaka.html
The model is old and bought in GB. But this is not due to this particular model. This is how classic dryers of this type work, without a heat pump. There is nothing but nothing unusual about my dryer model. For decades, millions of such devices have been operating in the world. Maybe less in Europe, but USA / Canada ... I wonder if there is a house (not an apartment) without a clothes dryer. In Germany, Switzerland, France or Greece, however, dryers are rare. Personally, I try to avoid German equipment - experience shows that they only use the old opinion and maybe there is something kicked or cheated in their dryers. I recently bought a German washing machine - crazy with washing quality definitely! There is no (plus cheating, because what else to call it ?, on ecology) - but it won a discount of 30%. It was so cheap that if it works flawlessly for 4 years, I will consider it a success and I will be happy to get rid of it.

Freebsd why too low? Since the laundry is dry in a fairly normal time (max. 2 hours), it is probably ok. As for Bosch itself, I generally have a good opinion, I think that dishwashers are one of the best in terms of the quality of washing and the arrangement of baskets, I'm not talking about faultlessness anymore because it is, however, and Bosch is over, although I have been working with a new model for almost 4 years without any breakdowns every day (previous 10 years of daily bang). And in turn, the majority of people around me who had or still have dishwashers from other companies are not satisfied with them (washing)

A car in the sun can get hotter. So is the laundry drying in the sun. What material is it that can climb as much as in the photos, at such a temperature? Again, it is better not to iron because the iron is hot ... :-D

Because in other constructions it is higher, there is no problem to get lower. Adding to this knowledge of the operation of a heat pump, refrigerator, air conditioning, it turns out that 2 + 2 = 4. Low temperature is due to technical limitations, and it is said that it protects something and that clothes do not deteriorate.

Maybe it is so, but the previous dryer shrinks things for me, and the new one does not. I can see colossal differences even in touch and smell. I would never go back to the previous dryer and no one will convince me that 50 degrees is not gentler on things like 70. However, I do not say that your dryer is bad, you are not lying and there must be something to it. Let everyone praise what they use and be happy with it

I became convinced to buy a dryer without a pump. Currently, the most suitable is elektrolux ew6c527pp because it has the most important functions and also has delicate options, which according to the instructions lowers the temperature, also may not happen to me exik ... many users have complained about the quality of drying and shrinkage. It also stays with the PL equipment. After the purchase, I will let you know what the effects are.

He still has recorded energy consumption (from several months) for the heat pump dryer. I need to find a windows computer, and a free evening, and process this data. I wonder if the tested heat pump dryer uses less energy than one without a pump, like mine :-) This might be interesting.

The truth is that the heat pump is to come up with these EU food. Ecology ecology and again ecology! Just what? OUR COST! I have been waiting for my dryer from November 29 because they pressed it only with the heat pump. If the condensation dryer would actually have too high a drying temperature and shrink the clothes, it guarantees that the producers would certainly lower it. The cost of such surgery is really pennies. As I wrote above, I will take temperature measurements and see how many degrees it will be
As for shrinking clothes, it can actually add a few pennies more and buy something more branded.

Topic summary

The discussion centers on choosing between Bosch condenser tumble dryers with and without heat pump technology, focusing on the Bosch WTW85460PL heat pump model and conventional condenser models like the WTB86201PL and WTG86400PL. Heat pump dryers offer lower energy consumption (approximately half) and gentler drying at lower temperatures (~55°C vs. 80°C), which reduces fabric damage. However, they have longer drying times, higher purchase and repair costs (notably expensive heat pump replacements), and require regular cleaning of densely finned heat exchangers that are difficult to access. Conventional condenser dryers are simpler, more reliable, easier and cheaper to maintain, and dry faster but consume more energy and generate more ambient heat, which can be beneficial in colder months. Energy consumption measurements show heat pump dryers use less electricity per drying cycle but the payback period depends on usage frequency and electricity costs. Users report mixed experiences with heat pump dryers regarding durability and maintenance complexity. The discussion also covers practical aspects such as placing dryers on washing machines using Bosch connectors, cleaning procedures for heat exchangers, and the impact of spin speed on drying efficiency. Other brands like Electrolux, AEG, Whirlpool, Hotpoint-Ariston, Candy, Gorenje, and Miele are mentioned, with some users sharing negative experiences with Electrolux heat pump models due to early failures. Overall, the consensus leans toward conventional Bosch condenser dryers for reliability and ease of maintenance, while heat pump models are favored for energy savings and fabric care if budget and maintenance are manageable.
