    Hello.

Will anyone share the latest firmware for Sofar 8.8 KTL-X? The website does not respond to emails, but I would like to update from version 2.30.

You say you have :) Have fun: https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3881393.html

My fix version is 2.20. Unfortunately, when I try to update to 3.40 after DSP1 OK and DSP2 OK, I get an SDSP file error - restart and software version error, update to 3.02 and the same. Only update 2.90 restored the inverter to normal operation, however the inverter itself still reports that the FW version is 2.20, similar in the application. From what I noticed there was an ARM update at 2.90, not at 3.02 and 3.40.

This pisses me off, because it makes me unable to calculate self-consumption.

For me on 3.10 there are also, unfortunately ...

What is the shortened update instruction from 2.20 and up?
Which versions should I jump to in order for the update to go correctly?

I meant the password / PIN / code for the inverter.

I got from the site: 0715

Anyone have instructions on how to update the soft in models with two buttons?

What's the difference between this process for KTLM-G3 and KTLX-G3?

I guess all this is an overinterpretation :)

Step 6. After the update is completed, turn off the DC breaker, wait for the LCD screen extinguish, then restore the WiFi connection and then turn on the DC breaker and AC breaker again, the inverter will enters the running state.

In steps 1 to 5 there is nothing to turn the AC circuit off, and here to step 6 to turn it back on. So we do the update with the AC turned off and in full sun?

    BTW:
I can also connect to the inverter via the 10.10.100.254 network and there in the menu there is "Update inverter software" and "Upload file". Can it be done this way, and have any of you done it before?

@ m2tk You turn off the AC, put the program in the USB memory and go after uploading

Step 6. After the update is completed, turn off the DC switch, wait until the LCD screen goes out, then restore the Wi-Fi connection, then turn on the DC switch and AC switch again, the inverter goes into working state.

In my case, for the update to 3.02 to be successful, it was necessary to rename the file from 4-12KW_ARM.hex to ARM.hex

You see what version are other requirements. From 2.50 to 3.02 it goes without blinking. As far as I can tell, 3.10 should be from the same group. As for the software shown on the inverter, it shows me 1.00 rubber that the app has 340 (i.e. 3.40). For you, it may still be a matter of updating the logger software, but it's not a problem because it goes 3 minutes online

    Hello, and please be understanding

I have installations 6.42 Me solar (12x5.35) inverter cobblestone bet (apparently it's sofar) 6. Question is it normal that today and yesterday the maximum production was about 5.1-5.3 kW ??? It shows 80% on the display. Will there be more in April, for example? I do not have any shutdowns, max 238v works flawlessly. Daily production in the last days is 37-39 kWh.

South orientation with slight deviation to the south of several degrees, no obscuration
Will changing the settings help or should it be so? greetings

The logger can only be updated via files from the disk, there is no OTA option there. Even though I have version 3.02 now, 3.40 still can't load ARM file due to error. Surprisingly, when I wanted to go back to version 3.02, this message also appeared, luckily it was successful earlier, so only DSP1 and DSP2 were downgraded.

And a second question. I set up an account on solarman biznes, then on Smart. I used installations with business, only Smart was left for me. How to reconnect? When I want to add in business, it shows that the logger is already active in my installation.

You can update the soft remotely as much as possible :) it is done remotely by a service in China - just ask for support in the chat in the solarman smart application. Something like: "Could I kindly ask you to remote upgrade logger firmware to the newest possible version? My logger number is xxxxxxxxx". If the chat is inactive, you can write or wait until there are working hours. It works from about 9.00 on weekdays

You can count in a different way. Note that the generated power on the AC side is correct, it even shows values of 40W and less - ask the logger for the AC Power parameter and divide by voltage - a little around but it will work

After contacting the chat, I got a logger update, but only to the LSW3_15_FFFF_1.0.78 version, where my mate m2tk has version 1.32. I cannot upgrade to a higher FW of the inverter because the file list does not match. There is no ARM.hex file, there are only .bin and the inverter does not want to accept them.

Well, because it has a different hardware version. Here 1.32 does not mean a better version at all :D

So, for some hardware versions, 3 hexes are required - for others there can be 2 and binary - I can't do anything here

But you have KTL-X with the G3 at the end, and that's a slightly different design. And inside, also other systems. The file names show MSP432 from Texas Instruments and LPC54605J512ET180 from NXP. I suspect that one of them is inside, and the upgrade procedure itself checks if the hardware matches the binary and then loads the binary. The HEX and BIN upgrades are slightly different

I confirm the need to rename the files when upgrading from version 2.90. At first glance, you don't see the difference between 2.90 and 3.02. The gradual reduction in power before the cut-off voltage is reached is identical to version 2.90.

I just tried to update the 12KTL-X-G3 with the firmware I posted here. Failure!

    Updating DSP1 ...
    0% - 100%

    Updating DSP2 ...
    0% - 100%

    ARM File Error

In Events, it shows 'Version Fault' and the ALARM LED is on.
Alert Details 156 Inconsistent Software Version
    Alert Code bit155

    EDIT:
    Renaming a File:
    3-12KW-G3_ARM_LPC54605J512ET180.bin
    on
    3-12KW-G3_ARM.bin
    solved the problem.

After the update, there are the following values:
    Hard Ver: V202
    Soft ARM: V020005
    Soft DSPS: V020004
    Soft DSPM: V020004
    Country PL LIB: 0606
    Safety Soft: V000001
    Safety Hard: V101

Most importantly, instead of a humming box, a quiet device - I mentioned the problems with the volume in this topic.
On the other hand, the graphs show an increase in temperature from about 53 to 57 ° C. There is probably some fan in there and they slowed it down / fixed it or turned it off. At most, you will need to cool it externally.

Is it possible to do the same in single-phase sofars with a jumper inside to increase the power? It is a series from 1100TL-3000TL.

Topic summary

The discussion centers on experiences with Sofar inverters in approximately 8kW photovoltaic (PV) installations, focusing on technical issues, durability, and configuration challenges. Users report generally stable operation with models like Sofar 6.6KTL-X and 5.5KTL-X over extended periods, though some face connectivity problems, especially with Wi-Fi and software availability. A recurring technical problem involves input voltage exceeding the maximum allowed 600V DC for single-phase Sofar inverters (notably the 4KTLM-G2), causing errors such as PVOVP and BusOPV and inverter shutdowns. This is often due to too many PV panels connected in series on a single string, with 15 Q.CELLS Q.PEAK G4.1 305W panels sometimes exceeding voltage limits, especially in cold conditions where voltage rises. Solutions include splitting panels into two strings (e.g., 8 and 7 panels) connected to separate MPPT inputs, though some users report this does not fully resolve the issue. The maximum recommended panels per MPPT input is around 9 to avoid surpassing power and voltage limits. Users also discuss the need for three-phase inverters for larger installations above 7kW on a single phase due to grid operator restrictions. Software and firmware updates are sought after but not easily accessible, with some users lacking Polish language support. Comparisons with other brands like SMA and Fronius highlight Sofar's cost advantage but raise concerns about long-term reliability and service support, which is still developing in some regions. Network-related errors such as Grid OFP (over-frequency) have been reported, with troubleshooting involving network frequency checks and inverter restarts. Overall, Sofar inverters are considered a cost-effective option with some technical caveats related to system design, installation quality, and support infrastructure.
Summary generated by the language model.
